Just wondering if this is only happening to me, but whatever gun I am using will have no ammo drop for it until I switch to a different one. I'm wondering if it is Bungie's attempt at forcing you to use other guns.

Along with Trickle. They took the worst modifiers and made them permanent it seems
-
Everything's working together to make people play with different weapons. It's really not an issue.

I hardly ever run out of ammo now that I've figured out kinetic ammo won't drop if I'm using my kinetic weapon. When I notice I'm running low i swap to my energy weapon, by the time my energy ammo is running out I've completely refilled my kinetic ammo. Swap back, rinse repeat. It's pretty simple.

Bumpppppp
ppppppppppppppp
Now that I have more time in the game, I agree. Seems like a feature now
-
They want us to use our primary weapon but forgot we need ammo to do that. It's stupid. Always out of ammo.

Edited by Corrick II: 9/20/2017 4:32:50 AMI'll run out or get close to running out of primary every once in a while, even on patrol. Heavy ammo drops like Christmas though, just piles of it.
-
Yes. I noticed that when I get kills with my kinetic weapon I don't get much, if any, kinetic ammo drops. I have to switch to my energy weapon.
-
Yes I run out of kinetic ammo all the time. Need ammo synths back.
-
yes - its juggler all the time EVERYWHERE. or a random pile of heavy.
-
Yes it's the most annoying shit ever. So many goddsmn restrictions in this game I swear
-
I feel that way too
-
Yep. I noticed by the second or third day. By now I can all buy guarantee it. Makes sense those considering how you use weapons now.
-
-
Sure seems that way. Wouldn't be much of an issue if we could buy consumable ammo like D1. It would be nice if Bungie let us have that.
-
Absolutely Bump
-
Yep. This is even more apparent on the final boss in the raid... ran out if everything so many times.
-
-
Ah so it isnt just me was thinking this yesterday
-
Oh, totally. Was thinking it was just me, for a while. Few recent Strikes I did, at least 2 separate firefights dropped zero Kinetic ammo, while I sat at 0. It really feels like Bungie needs to work on ammo drops 'cuz ammo feels like it has a loot lockout, too... lol
-
Yes and I hate it.
-
Yes and it can be incredibly annoying at times. Prime example being the Mida quest during the airborne smg kills step. Burn all your ammo getting a whole 5 kills then run around for 10 minutes waiting for an ammo brick to drop and get you a whole 2 extra kills. Rinse repeat.
-
I noticed the same thing. Sturm and Drang seems to have solved that issue as I am constantly juggling now
-
Sure seems like it when we're fighting the emperor, Christ I'm almost always out of ammo.

Edited by meatballsublime: 9/18/2017 9:18:34 PM
Anybody else notice how the juggler modifier from D1 seems to be a permanent thing here?
Bump... yes, it's been obvious since the first hour of playing on launch day. Granted, it isn't exactly juggler. Some enemies occasionally drop multiple bricks of different types, but usually, you get energy when you use the kinetic and kinetic when you use energy.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 9/24/2017 3:54:17 PMBungie has nothing to offer this game at all. Ammo don't drop so you spend more time playing pointless content. It's seems mojoriy on this forum really don't like D2 and even some of the ones that said it would be better are complaining lol. That's actually a good thing. Put this game back to how it use to be when it actually had incentive.
