I realize it's pretty late to be asking this: Why is the Destiny 2 PC release more than a month after console release? It just makes me a bit upset that PC players have to wait that long. It makes me feel behind. For the record, I am not someone who flaunts the "Glorious PC Master Race"; I play on both PC and Console.

Forget Destiny 2 and get Knack2 baby

PC gets more features like 4k support, uncapped frames, And they have to tweak the engine around to make it more friendly to the pc and kb/m

Probably to hide "pre-loaded" content.

It's not a Port. It's being built separately from the ground up for the PC.
-
Because it's not a Console to PC port Destiny 2 is getting its own PC systems developed for PC (I.e uncapped frames, better overall look, etc). So it's not just a PC port, it's gonna be it's own little thing since you have program the game to work on a massive variety of different computers.

Edited by Mega Pixel: 9/25/2017 5:02:53 AMIt really does suck seeing everyone enjoying the game, and, even tho we bought the pre-order, over a month waiting is too much... I really wish they'd give us something to enjoy for now... Some kind of early access, I don't know... I'd be happy even if they'd give us the open beta again at this point... It's so frustrating to see everyone enjoying and spoiling the game and not being a part of it...

If you think that's bad you should've seen GTA5. Took well over a year to bring to PC.
-
I'm sure at this point, PC players are getting sick of half assed ports filled with bugs, crashes, etc.. I would let D2 sit in development for longer times to avoid another arkham knight.
-
PC hardware is more difficult to program for, as there are many different configurations someone could potentially have in their PC. Not to mention the fact that this is Bungie's first PC release since Oni in 2001, so I'm sure they had to relearn a few things along the way. It's also worth noting that they may have started development for the PC version a little bit later than the console version, which would obviously set them back a bit.

Dude, Destiny has its own subforums, go post there. To answer your question, they don't want a "PC Port", they remade the game from the ground up.
-
PC has more problems in general than console when it comes to the code and what not. To keep it simple they're trying to refine the game to make sure it's as bug less as possible and cheater/exploit free.

Because....

Tf does it matter? Tf would people wanna play Density 2 on PC as well? I got a free code for it with the 1080 that came in and I'm not playing it on PC even though it's free.
