Kill Tracker Poll

A) Before Level 20?

7

B) After Level 20?

10

Kill tracker ghost shell is one of the preorder bonuses for Destiny 2. It’s a skin for your ghost that tracks your kills across the campaign and PvP. It was supposed to be a nifty little bonus for people who believed in the game enough to put down money before it was out. It’s a baffling decision, as most players who were interested presumed it would count their kills from the moment they stepped into the game. To make matters worse, it was completely unnecessary to hold a exotic shell until we achieve level 20, we get an exotic armor piece (low level) once we hit titan. It’s not like the ghost has any impact on gameplay. Not giving players the preorder exotic before they reach a certain level is understandable, as it would have an impact on balance. But a ghost shell? Any Thoughts? Poll: When would you want your pre-order ghost shell?

In days gone by, pre-order bonus items were meant as a thank-you to players for being with the game from the start. They were things you couldn't get once the game launched. Ergo, when the game goes live they'd get something that launch-day buyers would not, and anytime someone saw that item in-game they'd know the person was supporter of the game while it was in development. I'd expect that all my pre-order bonus items would be delivered to my inventory the moment I got past the first cutscene. Does that mean I'd be running around the Homecoming mission with a kill-tracker Ghost, a Sword and Coldheart? You're d@mn right it does. I paid for those, and I expected to have them. To not have them, to be made to wait to get stuff I paid for, is just another nail in the coffin that contains my opinion of Bungie. For all the good things Im hearing about D2, and there are many to be sure, Im hearing enough bad that it's making me regret having bought this game, a game I've not even played yet thanks to the still-unexplained late-launch on PC. And it's seriously turning me off from buying anything from them again.
