The new Destiny 2 launch trailer is here! So, let's take a look inside and see what we can find and yes, there will be chickens!

I didn't see anything noteworthy. Speculation that there might be a speaker related mission or raid based on a cutsceen, a cgi scene of an npc using a weapon on a sparrow but no gameplay of it, one person driving in circles on a sparrow to make the fighting area look bigger (as apposed to two in the original destiny trailer when fighting a walker), a few quick jokes from destiny's poster child, and an attempt to play an emotional angle to build up the idea of taking the fight to the enemy (even though you lost the city because you waited too long to do so). You tend to want to fight harder when you have something to lose. Opening with "we lost the war" comes across as saying there's nothing left worth fighting for. That whole trailer came across as "we've lost, we can't hold out, we'll lose everything if we fight back, so let's take the fight to the enemy!" I get that they're trying to make the story darker and stack the odds against you because you never really got that feeling in the first game, but there's a big break in motivation there. It's the difference between pushing back against a powerful enemy to gain or retake ground and throwing people in front of a machine gun nest hoping it'll eventually run out of ammo because they have nothing left to live for.
We can't win a straight up fight, so let's charge in and shoot their leader in the head. Brilliant.
Not exactly a Speaker Raid, but we can assume we save the Speaker somehow. Maybe the last mission of the campaign.

This was some dope etc etc

Where's the so-so option?

Remember, an NPC shot off the sparrow. It may be this is only part of a scripted event. That said, even if the game isn't up to snuff this trailer sure as hell is!

I liked Ralph the Chicken
