I feel like the destiny 2 pve is ruined. By turning shotguns, fusion rifles, and especially sniper rifles into heavy weapons is a really bad idea for pve. I can understand why they would do that for pvp because those weapons were pretty overpowered in destiny 1 but we need them in pve or else it would take wayyyyy too long to kill bosses or get stuff done. This would completely kill all of the fun. A solution to this would be to move those weapons to the special weapon, make heavy ammo drop more often or make the special weapon more powerful in pve

He and I share a lot of the same views. I don't share his optimism. PvE is in trouble, one way or another.

Edited by RAIST5150: 8/2/2017 3:46:06 PMThey supposedly have already tuned things for more heavy ammo drops... just wasn't included in that beta build. Wonder if it will be in the PC beta phase. It would be a smart move for them to provide a more current build for that phase so they can get some fresh feedback on general play mechanics. The other thing to watch is the effectiveness of the weapons, which again they are supposed to be retuned at launch as well. That copperhead sniper I had just didn't feel good. As Strider, I was primarily on add patrol, so I was able to secure the odd brick here and there for my sniper even during the boss fights, so I was actually able to use it regularly during each stage. It just didn't feel like it hit hard enough to be worth the hassle until final stage. Could always force him through first phase of each stage quickly with dual HC or an AR/HC, so had some decent ammo drop moments. It did create a bit of panic a few times though... until the guys caught on to what I was doing--rush the phases to get more adds to spawn, kite them to bunch them up, then super them down with slams from the air, then everyone could scoop up the ammo. They just need to make sure the weapons are worth the hassle of getting the ammo. If they can strike a better balance between effectiveness and ammo economy, I think we will be able to make it work.

Or just reduce enemy health pools.

Edited by holydracoeva: 8/2/2017 8:46:25 PMwhat i'm hoping is that they moved regular fusion rifles from the heavy category to energy or at least buffed them in some way, when i first used the fusion rifle 2 of the projectiles hit and did barely anything while the rest just completely went off target. i was targeting someone just off the platform for B and i was about halfway to B when i fired. the regular fusion rifle needs multiple buffs or a category change.

How they proceed from here is going to be detrimental as to whether D2 sinks or swims.
