First, I want to say that I enjoyed Destiny's game play. It was robust enough to keep me entertained, entranced, and enthralled in what it had to offer for the most part. Sure there was a few missed shots here and there, and the story did not have me feeling too good. But I felt the bulk of the game was decent enough to warrant the discussions it entailed. Something however, that really hit close to home with me was the fact that it was detailed as a Role Playing Game. But the first thing I saw, when I booted up the game was a lack of being able to create something to role play as. The character customization is the FIRST activity someone completes in a role play game, and when the first steps fall short it sets the tone for the rest of the game. Where I knew I would be having more fun around each corner, was corner-cut by something or somethings missing. That is why I propose that there is a more intricate character customization option created, and that it should have more than "stock" faces to chose from. For a triple A game, character customization is something that should be a breeze. And with the wonderful artists, and the great development minds that the company has it shouldn't be an issue. Further more, if the avatar that the individual creates doesn't speak, it shouldn't impact the facial animations too much. Finally, it gives replay ability. I can create a large amazonian like Awoken, or a slick and sly robot to fit different play styles and compliment the classes. I want facial sliders, more options for facial differences like manipulating the jaw, to skull, to orbits, to ears, to lips. Even if it was a little as those few options that would be enough to have me entertained while completing my first steps. It allows me more time to go back and play my alts, and show off all my useful gear I can trade from one character to another. I want to show off my masculine BEARD, for my cool Thor looking character btw. xD TL;DR Character customization needs to be more robust, and present in this entry of Destiny 2. I want to role play my characters to a degree. I want to do PvE and PvP, not just create another random "pew pew" faceless, soulless character.
