The Abomination King: Part Five - A Twisted Trap, Part One.

I’m sorry for the long wait, The Abomination King has returned! I just have been focused on my summer so far, and the surge of Destiny 2 news left me a little unmotivated to write Destiny Stories. To compensate for the obscenely long wait, I will make this chapter twice as long. You heard me right, this chapter will contain two chapters of The Abomination King: A Twisted Trap part one, and Part two. It is split into two parts because, as I said, the wait was long, and also I have some awesome stuff planned. However there WILL be a chapter that takes place between the two parts, and it will be titled The Twisted Queen. It was late evening, and Jaime and Eve had returned to the domain of Gryaor and his Twisted Horde. Eve’s arm had healed after a day to recover, and Jaime had helped her cope with the capture of Zach by the Witch. That Bitch… she would make her pay for taking one of her best friends away from her. Now, she was here to do just that. She advanced with her shotgun and peered into the shadows, while Jaime covered her back and watched her motion tracker. “Eve? I’m picking up several signatures.” Jaime said. Eve immediately swiveled to look behind her. “Signatures? Where are they?” Jaime reeled in shock. “They are above us! Get out!” she said quickly. The two of them ran for the exit, only for it to cave in on top of them. “Damn it!” Eve yelled. “They trapped us!” The Titaness pounded a boulder with her fist and cracked it in two. She smashed it again, and it crumbled to pieces. She reeled back for another punch, but Jaime held back her arm. “Hold on there, Titan. We can’t waste time on this. Every moment we waste, Zach becomes more in danger.” Eve sighed. “I’m sorry Jaime, you are right. I was letting my emotions get the better of me.” “That’s the thing, Eve. You’re strong, but when someone threatens the ones you love, you let emotion get the better of you. We have to go and find Zach.” The Huntress and the Titaness descended further into the old Pre-golden age Nuclear bunker that the Hive dwelled in. Its metal outside was several feet thick, and lined with lead on the middle layers. Eve put a gauntleted hand on the outside of it. “I thought that WE were crazy, but the people that had built this must have been paranoid.” She said to herself. Jaime raised an eyebrow. “We have the friggin incarnation of evil stirring just beyond our solar system, waiting to sink it’s teeth into our large white ball, and you think an old bunker is strange?” Eve snorted. “Guess not. Hurry up now.” “Hurry up, she says” Jaime muttered. “Well-“ “LOOK OUT!” Eve yelled, pivoting her body to shield Jaime from an Arc hive Boomer blast. She absorbed the impact, and pumped on her pulse rifle’s trigger, blasting the Twisted Knight several times with it. Commanded by a towering Twisted Knight, a screeching pack of Twisted Hive barreled towards them. “Jaime, on a count of three, I’m going to throw you!” Eve yelled. “WHAT!?” said Jaime, but before she could protest, Eve hefted her with one arm, and threw her over her head like a sack of potatoes. Jaime managed to draw her knife and ignite a fusion grenade before she landed on top of a chittering thrall and forced it to the ground. She cut through its neck with a powerful slice and shade stepped to the right, dodging the slashes of several other thralls. She only had three things going for her: she was fast, she was unpredictable, and she was insane. The sticky grenade she had ignited earlier vaporized four acolytes into clouds of ash, which drifted down to cover the bony heads of their comrades as they charged. Like Evil Snowflakes thought Jaime as she spun and dodged and attacked the Twisted Horde. Eve, meanwhile, fought against the towering knight and acolytes in hand-to-hand. She knocked an acolyte off its feet and stomped on it, simultaneously blasting another in the chest. The frustrated Knight bellowed and charged her. The Titaness grunted as the monster crushed her against a wall, and tried to pull her shotgun on it. The Knight swung an armored fist and cracked Eve’s helm, shaking her inside of her armor. Eve blasted the Knight in the foot with her shotgun, and while it groaned in pain, she cracked its helmet armor with a Storm Fist. The Knight stumbled, and roared in defiance yet. Eve screamed in berserker rage and struck with a flurry of rapid strikes that stunned and broke the Knight. It creaked like a broken machine, and to finish it off Eve activated a lightning grenade and jammed it into the Knight’s mouth. Its head exploded with a burst of Arc, and it crumbled into bone fragments and ash. Jaime heaved, and threw a scrabbling thrall off of her. She threw a smoke and poisoned a group of Twisted Hive, and leapt over an acolyte to shoot it in the back. She stumbled as the monster erupted in poisonous gas, and without speaking her ghost filtered the gas from her armor. Jaime raised her gun wearily, but stopped as the Thrall in front of her was flattened by another thrall that had been thrown. “Thanks.” Jaime managed. “Let’s keep moving.” Eve nodded, and gestured down. “It always has to be down.” Jaime muttered. Two minutes later, they arrived in a cavernous area of the bunker. Large hive structures and residue were strewn around the room, and in the middle was Zach. “No guys! Leave now! It’s a-“Eve leapt from the top of the stairwell and tore off his restraints. “Eve! This is a trap!” he yelled. “I don’t care, we don’t leave friends behind.” She said stubbornly. The hive crystals in the room shut off, and a sinister cackle echoed through the room. The glowing eyes of the Witch shone at them, and before any of the guardians could react, they disappeared. They were all caged in and pinned down by a thick, unbearably dense cloud of smoke that hindered their movements and vision. They heard another laugh, and a soft green light illuminated a long, jagged blade. The last thing they remembered was the green light of the blade illuminating the grotesque face of the Twisted Blade. That was Part Five! I hope you enjoyed, if you want to leave some feedback in the comments, be sure to!
