I've gotta say, Destiny 2 is looking magnificent. It seems Bungie has learned their lesson the past 3 years despite a bad deal with Activision. Destiny 2 will rise above the failings of the first game and be everything we've all wanted it to be.

Edited by Thane: 5/30/2017 2:30:10 PMDestiny2 or Destiny 1.5 .... lets see which is a more valid title. - It's not continuing a main story arc from the previous game. - Everyone is praising how it plays the same (good since gameplay was solid/bad because i still can't find any signs of a sequel). - New subclasses/gun types/player hub, nope we previously got that in a DLC. - New playable areas/pvp modes, nope we previously got that in a DLC. - Reworked systems/cutscene increase (promise of a revolutionary storytelling change), nope we previously got that in a $40 DLC. Remember it doesn't matter what anyone says (including Bungie with their bs titles). If you believe you will enjoy it then more power to you. Lets not BS ourselves here though, this is called a sequel for all the wrong reasons. And PvP became 4v4 ..... and skill trees got dumped down into near retarded territories. Won't be a bad game, but still wrapped in a whole lot of BS.

I don't think they've learned any lessons, other than how easy it is to take our money....but I do think Destiny2 will be an amazing game.
-
I'd pay 100 dollars for it. Oh wait, i already did because i bought the season pass with it! Oops now all the salty kids will be mad at me.
-
Won't be saying that when you find yourself running backwards through the same game again with re-hashed characters.....oh no wait, that will be the dlc's ...sorry

Edited by D34N0000: 5/29/2017 7:12:47 PMProblem is different people want destiny to be different. So it wont please all. D2 has taken my biggest problem with destiny and made it worse lol. There looks to be basically no customization to builds this time around. All destiny really needed was depth to character customization. Giving us the ability to make fun unique builds. I'm still looking forward to D2 but I've came to terms destiny will never reach it's potential. Or at least my vision of what that is.
-
It will be essentially the same as Destiny.
-
Until I see a release date for PC I'm reserving all hype. Even if the game does amazing on consoles, if the PC launch is -blam!-ed then I will consider this a fail on bungie part. It will just be another case of them taking on too much, I don't blame cut content in Destiny on greed but on incompetence...
-
The gameplay looks fantastic, can't wait for it
-
Second I heard PvP will be 4v4 I was about to cancel my preorder.
-
There are some questionable design choices. Not being able to play PvP with 5 other friends on the same team anymore is a big letdown. Having to put down your sniper just to use a rocket launcher in PvE also doesn't sound very fun. I don't feel Destiny 2 will be the amazing game that everyone is getting on their knees and praising the heavens for. It will have enough appealing elements to keep people grinding, but I believe it will follow the "one step forward, two steps back" mantra. Bungie will keep making poor choices that will hold the game back from reaching its full potential, just like what happened in D1.
-
Maybe for story, but end game looks like it will be the same handful of strikes and a single raid crap all over again and since that's where 90% of the time playing the game is spent, no, I would not say they learnt anything. Also that new strike posted doesn't look like it adds a single new thing to an encounter we haven't already done 1000 times (and pretty much every single hands-on, even those who love Destiny like Datto) said that it feels more like an old bullet sponge boss again.
-
Maybe. Let's not get carried away.
-
Etceteraaaaaaaaaaa (Nooooooooooo). good maybe, but amazing? pfft Et ce te ra? (Are u cra zy?)
-
4v4 though...
-
Ya.. Destiny 1.5 will be an ok dlc... Still much of the same

Edited by mccwrc09: 5/30/2017 3:43:54 AMIt will For the first month. Then it will go dry until the first DLC Pick up for a month Go dry until next DLC Pick up for a month Go dry until next DLC Pick up for a month Go dry until next DLC Pick up for a month Go dry until next DLC Pick up for a month Which is actually an improvement since content would drop more consistently Pure speculation? Yes
