Destiny 2 needs to pick between PvE and PvP or seperate them

This has bothered me since I started playing Destiny 1. It always lacked that focus on either or, trying to balance things (Guns, Abilities, stats... etc) for PvP while making them worse all around in PvE. This is something that really just needs to stop but we now see it again with the loadout system in Destiny 2. I just gotta say, Bungie needs to pick a side or separate them. Don't let PvE players suffer because you balanced things for PvP or vice versa. For separation though using loadouts as an example why not just have Primary/Special/Power in PvE and Primary/Primary/Power in PvP? Why can't we have the two modes balanced for themselves separately? Why does PvE need to suffer because (True endgame from lack of content:) PvP nerfs need to effect PvE too?

Now I'm going to preference this statement with I'm not saying you are wrong, but on the contrary part of me would like to see the separation also.... however since the great update fail of crucible i had a great conversation with someone where i had reminded them that changes had at one time taken place in pve that did not effect PvP and this was a shotgun buff that had taken place during the HoW expansion. Please see the update from 2/25/2015 or atleast around that date for exact info, but bungie buffed shotguns in pve by 100%.... Now as the time shotguns were strong in the crucible were strong and of course by shotgun I mean Fellwinters lie so the change or buff didn't affect the experience in either game mode noticeably. However later bungee nerfed them in pve pretty hard at the launch of TTK.... This got me thinking since then a change like this hadn't taken place since TTK and I think I know why. Around the same time a nerf to shotguns (by damage and removal of shot package) had taken place and they removed the 100% buff all at the same time. The answer appears easier now the reason these are not separate any longer or why they hadn't made a change seperating both may be because of their initial goal. Complete game "immersion" and by this what I mean is from a destiny perspective crucible is "guardian training". Although we see things like IB and Trials as end game content the story or the universe dictates it differently and I feel from bungies perspective.... that what they are going for. Your participation in crucible is training with the weapons to go out and get better while fighting the ai so they need to feel similar otherwise if the guns act different then the experience is really 2 separate parts of the game you have pve and PvP not destiny as a whole some what with how a battlefield or call of duty feels. So now I'm seeing both sides I want them to be separate but only because as a community we have in are minds separated the 2 activities but from bungies perspective that is not the case they are 1 in the same. Just my 2 cents could be completely wrong but I feel this is why they make the choices they do.
