I volunteer sometimes and notice that sometimes the stuff they give out is rotten or molded like bread. So the moral question is . Should this be allowed?

Well on one hand its a great thing there are good people that are trying but on the other hand as a part time poor adult i often eat around the mold on my bread so i cant be picky
-
Morally it's wrong. Though considering where and how I grew up, I'd still probably eat it sad to say.

I've helped at my local church food pantry and they throw out most expired, dented, or crushed goods.
-
I don't care. If they don't like it don't eat it.
-
Is that the name of the organization? Or are you asking about my food pantry?
-
I've worked in the back sorting rotten foods from fresh and throwing away the rotten food. I'm not sure if that's how it works everywhere though.
-
I thought it said food panty at first.
-
My pantry is pretty full, I'd like to keep it.
-
I volunteered once and it was -blam!-ed
-
Who would even find that acceptable? That's disgusting.

Beggars can't be choosers

Socialist nonsense
-
Why would it?

Infinite food

I worked at one for a few years. Only on Wednesdays and Thursdays since those were the days they handed stuff out. And they cooked breakfast and lunch for the homeless those days. The meat always smelled questionable and some of the food was beginning to rot but they would cut those parts off. It's rough though man. It's rough.

Edited by Catty_Wampus22: 5/22/2017 10:37:57 AMI've worked at two before and honestly it seems like most of the good food donated gets kept by the volunteers. Of course giving moldy and/or expired food is wrong wtf can you do with moldy food other than throw it away?
