It's obvious they've changed a lot of things, such as slots, perks, and/or mechanics in general.
So why not hold the trigger and let bullets fly? They're adding grenade launchers with gravity effects on the projectiles, adding sub machine guns, and adding healing rifts and all that, so why no have a hand cannon the empties itself as fast as Hard Light? They could decrease the impact and stability, making it more 'uncontrollable', and as a second idea, why not a Burst Fire perk for semi-autos?
I'm not saying they should, I'm just suggesting.

No, the first game became unbalanced the moment someone on the dev team even said the words full-auto handcannon. Even with all the changes made for the new game there is still almost no way to balance something like that.

Because the full auto hand cannon they already created was op! It's coped that many nerfs yet it still has the fastest ttk in crucible. I doubt with bungies failed attempts of nerfs and weapon balancing they will be able to make non op legendary full auto hand cannons.

If you're suggesting a hand cannon that does very little damage per shot, but fires really fast, that would be understandable, but you might as well use an auto rifle. If you're suggesting a regular hand cannon with the full auto perk, but still has the same RoF, so the only difference is that you're not pulling the trigger every time, that is understandable, and is as good as the full auto perks on scout and pulse rifles. That is a good suggestion. However, a hand cannon with hand cannon level damage firing at hard light speed would be beyond overpowered. If you could control the recoil, you'd be killing people in less then 0.25 seconds.
