Who else hates it when YouTubers beg for likes?
They ask you to like their videos before you've even seen the content. They literally spend a whole 3 minutes begging for likes at the beginning of each video and proceed to talk about emblem giveaways. Like dude just get to the point.
Yes sure, it's their channel. However you probably don't want to annoy your audience before they've even seen your content.
Like dude, I'll like the video if I want.

Yeh it's really annoying when the content you want to see is like 1 minute of a 7 minute video the rest is shameless self promotion and farting around doing and saying nothing with awful gameplay montages on the screen, what the hell is wrong with a simple straight to the point presentation of the advertised content? If a YouTuber asks me to "smash that like button and subscribe" before anything else on the video chances are I'm gonna close that video and find another one.

I hate that. I don't mind a link to subscribe at the end of a video, or in the outro. It bothers me when people with 10M+ subs beg for likes.

I just accept it. What I hate are the like goals. Example: "And if we could make 50 likes that would be INSANE!!!" I'm like "you bring in at least a couple thousand views a video stop putting it so low. I also hate it when they hold they're videos ransom for likes

1 ReplyI hate starting up a video about a game and I have to endure a minute intro, then a minute of "hey everyone it's _____" Like I didn't catch that from their channel name and the intro, then a minute if them telling me if i like this video, 'smash that like button and subscribe." Then a few seconds about turning on notifications if I subscribe. And then when I finally get to the content it's 2 minutes of uhhhhs and rambling on. I just want to know about the new skins in overwatch ffs.

I think it's silly when they ask toward the beginning of the video, as I haven't seen the video yet, but I wouldn't say it annoys me. Despite that, I often Like videos immediately after they start, assuming I'll enjoy it and not wanting to forget to Like it afterward. If I see something I specifically dislike in the video, I'll then either take back my Like or leave a Dislike instead. And if I'm neutral on a video, I'll leave a Like just to show my appreciation for their work in making the video at all, even if it wasn't particularly great to me.

They get paid based off their subscribers , views, likes etc. So if they need to sweeten the pot or "ask for the sale (like)" to make some more bread, they are gonna do it. You think they just do this shit because they like it? No, it's to get bigger and earn more money. People who expect them to do everything they do for free confuse the -blam!- out of me. That's how people in business/ commission sales make their dough, it doesn't just magically appear, they have to go get it.

I think it's people who ask for likes in the first minute are annoying. I don't have a problem if they ask for likes at the end but the people in the beginning are annoying. I do like the people who ask for feedback like if they did something bad they want to be told that they did.
