Rise of Iron story, drops 330 to 340 gear. Also can get 350 exotics like ghorn from side missions. 320 strikes can drop gear to 385. Run heroic strikes when able. Purchase vendor gear. Can be higher gear but only get some gear you will infuse as strikes can drop higher light level gear. Save all your exotics, missions that give legendary gear such as weekly vanguard and crucible missions. Don't do nightfall yet either. Only turn in and do nightfall when 390+ for easy boost of few levels. At 390+ you can run the new 390 raid modes. There are 4 of them and all can drop 400 gear. Currently iron banner is out this week. I recommend grinding strikes until 380+ then doing iron banner. If you have not played the rise of iron story line before, the new iron banner vendor has a quest and will reward you gear as you increase your iron banner rep levels. Also bounties give gear. Don't talk to her or turn bounties in until 390+. The gear from matches, bounties and her can drop up to 400. Note that gear will only drop up to 5 levels above your current light level so always equip highest gear even if trash. You can get repeat drops such as if your 350 light with a 353 primary, you can get a 352 primary drop. Save all you can to 390+ due to last levels and tons of ways to boos t last 10 levels. Also makes you a tad higher for when going to raid.
