While not totally perfect, I think the Devs were getting closer to really good non elemental primaries with this raid.
Genesis Chain has become my go to for Crota. Focused Firefly, agility boost...sweet. I only switch to my legendary Oversoul Edict for the last encounter if my team wants to kill the knights.
Chaos Dogma is good in PvP and PVE and can lay out lots of DPS with consistent Crits.
...I've never got the pulse rifle but hear good things about it. I did get the exotic handcannon and wasn't exactly blown away.
Shared agility boost and extra damage against one of the most common enemy types encountered is nice too. I'm ok with D2 not having elemental raid primaries if they continue with the trend of making the ones we do get really stand out even without elemental damage.

I think Bungie is two-for-two here. I think they got it right with the WoTM raid weapons for non-elemental raid weapons that are powerful, fun to use, versatile.....but not game-breaking. I also think they made a good move in returning the elemental weapons back as exotics. That was the best way to bring them back....without recreating the game-breaking problems that they created the last time.
