New Cabal speculation and how it ties into previous lore.

Hey guys! Guard Cactus here! i was able to see and review the new worldwide reveal trailer for destiny 2, which focuses heavily on the cabal. Well, the trailer revealed several new things about them. lets discuss that. (i apologize in advance for typos i'm running on about 3 hours of sleep) 1. these new cabal soldiers are different. and i don't mean just physically. if you read into the grimorie cards, you will notice that Primus Ta'aun is telling his bond brothers of the direct order to crash his ship into the dreadnought. However, one brother replies "a direct assault against the dreadnought? that's a job for a advanced unit, not a couple of "scout legions" bogged down with an attrition war." this, to me, shows that the forces deployed in our system through years 1-3, are basically just "rookies" and "amateurs" if you will. they got destroyed by the taken, the guardians, and lost all their commanders and most of their fleet. The "red legion" destroyed the city in one go, and possess advanced weapons and troops. 2. Garry. i mean Ghual. the red legion have a leader. whats so special about that? the siege dancers had Valus Tu'arc and the skyburners and Primus Ta'aun, and so fourth. I believe the difference is that this was the emperors right hand man. i personally believe that the emperor himself does not do all the fighting. kinda like how Palpatein sent Vader to do all the dirty work, the emperor sent Garry to destroy the last city. 3. 1000 degree knifes vs building man and scary dog thingys. do you recall that large creature with two swords that destroyed cayde-6s favorite store? i dont think its cabal race. its eyes are much further apart and its mask/helmet is like that of a hammer head shark. perhaps, its similar to how the Romans used trained elephants for battle? (the cabal are heavily based off Romans after all) it could be another species they trained, kinda like psions. i believe the same for the dog like creatures, after all, Romans did have war dogs. 4.(final) weapons of war. the cabal have, like, 3 guns. slug rifle, projection rifle, and slug thrower. they actually had more vehicles than weapons. warships, land tanks, harvesters, and Goliath tanks. i hope to see more, as we did with the fallen in house of wolves. the elemental cannons were introduced, along side the heavy pike, and even usable fallen weapons, such as dregs potato, queen breakers, and LoW. if you read all this, you must really like the cabal. anyways, that's what i got out of the trailers and grimore cards. have a nice day :) -Cactus
