Bungie! Cosmo! DeeJ! Calling you All Out! When?! Are you going to address the Unending Problem of Laggers in PVP
Forget! The Nerfs and Buffs and Balancing, because Until You People address the problem with people being allowed to LAG in PVP it doesn't matter What your Gun or Super or Abilities can do IT WON'T MATTER AGAINST THESE CHEATING LAGGING BLIGHTS ON CRUCIBLE!
They KNOW they are doing it too! I've got a list almost 1000 players long of people i run into Repeatedly who are in that category and they Still are playing and Still Ruining people's PVP Experience.
Anyone with a Brain should Refuse to buy Destiny 2 unless you can FIX this problem Before it comes out. Or maybe it Doesn't mean anything to you if i don't buy it but I'm going to start a petition and campaign Focused Solely on the Demise of Any Gaming Company who will Not Stop Lag in Player Vs Player Games.
You want to make a game Solely PVP you'd Dam Well Better Make It Lag Free!

EDIT: I'm throwing this out there too! If i Ever fall into that category myself due to my ISP having a malfunction then BY ALL MEANS do NOT let me play PVP either unless it's Resolved First! I'm by No Means saying i never have a problem but the Difference is i Willingly go back to orbit and Reset my Internet if i Ever see a yellow bar. And Red has Never been my color as of yet but I'd do the same there too

Part of it is bungie's shitty p2p setup true, but it also depends on the conbection of users, so what you're asking is impossible.

2 RepliesI get your position there, but the reason they haven't done this already us because it's virtually impossible to guarantee an entirely green bar connection permanently. If they did there would be virtually no crucible matches. Here's the thing. It's been a while since an expansion, so player base has dwindled a fair bit. Only a fraction of the remainders still play Crucible regularly. Only a fraction of those people are close enough to you that a consistent green bar can be maintained. And only a fraction of those are in the matchmaking queue when you are. Some might already be in a game. When it can't find a match in time, it widens the parameters. So you might see the odd red bar, because those widened parameters grabbed someone from another place further away. In games like this, where the population isn't always in PvP (like COD for example) you can't always get fantastic connections. They try, but it's not always viable.

what's is the minimum threshold speed??? 1.0 ? i always laugh when some one posts they have mega zord connection speeds and some random person in a rural area ruins their whole day with their 2.0 down load.

Connection speed is the least of your worries when it comes to any online shooter. When it comes to host based games, everyone suffers. Remove SBMM, add dedicated servers. Problem solved. Right now there's just no way checking your ping or other people's ping in game.

At first I didn't know what you were talking about but I meet 3 laggers last night and I know there is a problem. These people telephoto across the screen and get kills easily. The lag benefits them and it's obvious who does it because they are red/orange bar connection. Shouldn't lag hinder your performance?! Like wtf are we play Call of Duty?! One guy avoided a Titan panic slam with lag. Nobody escapes Titan panic slam. These lag soldiers must be stopped.

1 ReplyLag will not be fixed in D1. It just won't. With the P2P connection and the lack of playerbase, you will always see lag for the rest of D1, nothing anyone can do about it. Bungie would have to remake the entire game for that, and that obviously can't be done. For D2, we'll just have to hope that Bungie has already made the game run with dedicated servers because it's too late now; D2 is probably almost done anyway. My point being: complaining on the forums gets us absolutely nowhere. At all. So stop.

Omg It is a peer to peer PvP. The reason for the vast majority of the lag is a lack of dedicated servers. Do you really think there are 2-3 cheaters every game?

Without dedicated servers you can't use skill base matchmaking as a priority it's not hard to understand . Area based matchmaking must be priority because where in player to player hosting. You end up playing with people across the globe and without dedicated servers its a lag fest Bungie can't be very bright or they would change it

Dude what are you on about?!?!? The game I'm playing is completely lag free, SBMM works awesome, the weapons and classes are intricately balanced.
