So I helped 2 kids who had no clue about the raid

I'm a sweaty person who loves to do classic free for all 24/7 on the weekends and I have no regrets. I am a huge meta whore as you can see on my Warlock and Huntress. Lol just going to put that out there. So back to the actual story below. When I first got the game with my cousin, we both were fascinated by every aspect of Destiny back in the Taken King. Honestly, I found myself exploring the Cosmodrome and the Dreadnought a lot. Crouch walking through the nooks and crannies of the Dreadnought, I fell in love with Destiny. When we both hit light 290, we heard about the raid King's Fall and we always wondered what lied within that raid. So after a few weeks of looking around online for guides, and enjoying the Festival of the Lost during TTK, I found a nice group of 4 people that were willing to take us on our first raid. We both were pretty much considered as squeakers since we had no clue and we both were pretty much, acting like a child even though we're 15+. So it happened. They took us through the raid and taught us the core mechanics. Later on, we hit light 310. With no idea on what to do in PvE, we checked out Trials and we asked the same group about it. You see, those people that we played with were nothing more than simple raid and chill guys around the 40's and above, just wanting to have fun with the game and help new folks like us 2. We did our first Trials run and got horribly bodied. Lol so this lead to me getting into the Crucible. Fast forward a year and a half and here I am today. My cousin left Destiny while the group of people dispersed except for one man. I haven't spoken with him for a year and the only thing he would say at times over PlayStation messaging was "I gotta help some kids with WoM." I've never seen a person that dedicated to helping others. It's kind of refreshing to see the perspective of a guy who only does raids and Vanguard related things. So I joined him and helped the 2 kids out. One of them has muscle spasms randomly while the other was just a normal little boy. As we approached Aksis phase 2, the normal one said this to me; "Hey Tiger, I just want to say thanks. I've tried to do a raid for a while now and no one would take either of us." I dropped my controller, accidentally falling off the map and making us wipe on the last damage phase. (Lol best choke ever) They laughed it off while I just sat there killing the shanks, thinking of what he just said. It made me realize that the gaming community is very selective and is just...bad. It was a poignant reminder that I am one of those people too when it comes to Crucible.
