Why bringing back Blink close to year one would be a good idea

If you didn't play year one, you most likely don't know how good blink was It was an overpowered jump ability. It allowed too easily dodge: 1. Nova Bomb 2. Fist of Havoc 3. Rockets 4. Fusion rifle shots 5. Shotgun shots 6. Golden gun shot if timed correctly (immunity frames) Besides that, it allowed shotgun blink to be effective. So much that people used bladedancer and voidwalker simply to have the ability to blink. And some used blink just to counter shotgun blinkers The real reason Blink was nerfed (besides exploits such as immunity frames and 3rd blink bug) was due to shotguns Even after the first nerf, it kept getting hit: Reduced Blink distance Increased Blink activation speed Increased weapon handling speed after blink twice Added recovery penalty (you could have 0 recovery on bladedancer) Removal of HUD for 3-5 seconds during and after Blink Added a "prediction" visual effect to predict easily where you would reappear at Added a huge visual and audio cue Made it so you couldn't immediately swipe your blade during arc blade after blink, effectively destroying blink while using arc blade More than 8 nerfs Blink has been hit with since 2.0 update, and some were done twice to make it even less usable Now, Bungie is going to revert some changes: Recovery penalty and duration of HUD disappearing. But I think Bungie can go a bit farther to make Blink great, but not Overpowered: 1. Remove weapon handling nerf Basically, allow us to pull out or weapon and shoot after Blink, like year one. Noe that shotguns and snipers have handling nerfs, it wouldn't be a problem, plus shotgun got a in-air accuracy nerf a few days ago 2. Year one mobility of Blink or Activation speed One or the other. Now that it's effortless to predict where the blinker will reappear, having it either activate faster or increase blink distance to Year one would also be a non-issue 3. Fix blink while using arc blade Basically, if you use Blink while being on arc blade, you can't swipe or move. You are vulnerable while doing so. Stormcaller has Ionic Blink Hammer of Sol has Twilight Garrison and Suncharge Shadowshot has shadestep if you use quiver The supers above have movement abilities they can use while being on their respective supers, yet they do not become vulnerable while doing so That is all
