Cabal Story Continued pt 1 I'd like to say I got a good nights sleep and woke up refreshed and renewed. Instead I haven't slept at all. Really I don't know when the last time I feel asleep was. Sleep didn't seem important anymore. Death was sleep in a way, but for a glimpse; then brought back by the ghost...over and over. Now I can't feel the ghost though and my thoughts race. It doesn't help they've split our happy little group up. I don't know where the other are. I don't know if they are okay. I don't know if they are alive. We had just started to get on the same page with trying to create an escape plan. Then the thunder rolled in waves of heavily armored feet. The doors open and everyone is gone. I don't know if Shau'auln is still "connected" and heard our plan or if it's just coincidence. All I know is this room is a nice prison cell and I'm alone with nothing but my own thoughts. No mission, no bounty, now directive... Just me and my own thoughts. What seems like an hour later they brought this "stuff" like I were suppose to eat it. I can't remember when he last time I ate was. I can't remember the last time I was hungry. I can't remember the last time I was anything. Happy, sad, angry, nervous, afraid. Since being brought back by the ghost I haven't felt any of this. Maybe I haven't had time with all the constant fighting, maybe the light suppressed these things. One thing is for sure though; for the first I can recall I'm nervous. It's been at least 12 hours and I haven't seen the sun begin to set. I don't know the cycle of this plant yet. I don't know what planet or even what system we are in. Thundering footsteps are coming again. The door opens and I summoned out. We march to a new chamber with a large holo map and Shau'auln pointing and moving planets and systems around as if it's looking for something. "She... I prefer She to it. Please" Great "SHE" is back in my head. I almost think it chuckled when I thought that. Shau'auln, where are the others? "Being tested as you will be soon, but first we have much to discuss." Were the others brought here as well to "discuss?" "No, there is something in you... different. You can...Feel. The others are not there yet. They are not open" Great, you're not going to get all "ohhh you're getting sleepy... uhhhh your under my spell" on me, are you? "No, not at all. I'm just stating that your eyes are starting to clear where as the others are still content to have their covered by webs." Why am I here? Why are any of us here? and why did you split up all the Guardians? "One thing at a time young one, but first... you are guardians no more. You are Warbound now. Whether you like it or not, war comes. You can go to it on your own two feet or it can come to you while your on your back. As for why you are all here; like I said yesterday, you have what we need and we have what you need. As for why I split you up...Revolt without hearing us out is a little premature. The simple fact that would could have already killed you and didn't should have earn your trust long enough to hear us out first." It's not exactly like we've had the best relations in the past. What would you do? "Think reasonably and use logic." Right or wrong, That's probably what got you in your current job title and the former boss out. "You may be correct but please try." Okay so what's the deal with the map? "To understand the truth I present you, you must first understand our past." Oh great a blah blah blah back story like I care. "Fine, then let me ask you a question." Shoot. Bad choice of words as a group of cabal grunt surrounding us raise their guns... Shau'auln chuckles again and they lower their weapons. WTH is this things deal? My thought is interrupted again as she starts to speak again. "Have you ever wondered where the light or the darkness comes from? Every creature has both present within them, just as good and evil does as well." Your telling me a frog knows what evil is? "No, that would take comprehension, so let me clarify... Light and darkness are present in all living things whether or not you know it exists, just as good and evil does. To act on a pure or corrupt nature such as good or evil with intent; you would have to have understanding, or some higher awareness than just basic instinctual behavior." Where is this going? "Have you ever wondered what would happen if a shadow had a soul or a physical form? You've seen it in the Taken but do you understand what it is or what it means?" Uhm... you should have kidnapped Eris Mourne for this conversation not me. "In a sense the taken were not created by the hive, they were hunted, captured and corrupted by it. The darkness resides in balance with the light, but in the absence of light the darkness can manifest more purely. The hive perfected how to achieve this without concern for the consequences." But we beat Oryx and his taken form and his taken army....End of Story. "No young one... how Nieve. The end? But if that were true you'd already be dead. That was just the beginning. That was Oryx toying with things he couldn't comprehend, much as your "frog"... No there are things far worse born and living in the darkness than those converted." What do you mean? "The hive wizards use songs to peel the light away from the living and cause pain leaving the darkness behind with agony. The darkness feeds on this agony and further pushed the light out. when all light is gone the flesh dies. When the light dies with the flesh, the darkness takes the soul and is teleported to the other side." What over side? "When this dark soul is brought back, it is brought back into a physical being. The stronger the soul the stronger the physical form becomes." What Other Side? "The stronger the physical form the more it hungers for the light of others" WHAT OTHER SIDE? The breaches you entered to fight the Taken were but a shift between two dimensions... a temporary space Oryx though was safe to hide his followers and himself. We don't know what to call the other side yet, we don't know what to call what is coming through. All we know it it's like a cloud breaching through and it's hunger is so huge that it devours entire planets of life." So you expect me to believe there is some sort of evil planet swallowing galactic force out there and you want ME yo help YOU fight it? "Yes" Ha... HahahhaHaaaa. Your a riot, I didn't know the cabal were comedians. "This is no laughing matter. we must stop it or we will all perish." And just how do you figure I can help? "Your light is all that has pushed back the darkness so far, but it is not all your light. It came from someone... the traveler. But do you know where the traveler came from?"
