If you like the state of Destiny as it is now, then good on you. Enjoy it. I could say the reason I am quitting is because they failed to meet my expectations. In my opinion, Destiny has a lackluster dev team. I could say the reason is because they keep nerfing my favorite subclass, leaving it's clearly broken assets alone and instead changing "frustrating" perks. I could say the reason is because of how stale the game is right now in my opinion. The goal was more primary engagements? All I see is sidearm. I could list a number of times RNG has failed to reward my hard work. 178 Crucible ranks of hard work. I could list how many rage quitting moments I have faced when crossing paths with a Matador. I could even say why I think Bungie is idiotic for thinking my favorite jump needed a nerf that makes it useless and detrimental to use. But I won't. I still love this game. I have happy memories that I will never forget. The first gun I ever got, the first raid I completed, the first match I got above a 1 kd, and so on. I want to hold onto those memories, and that's why I'm done. I want to preserve those memories. I don't want my last memory of Destiny 1 to be "Wow. Blade sucks. Oh look a sidearm. Wow." I owe so much to Destiny, in fact I wouldn't have gotten through multiple hard times in my life without the relaxing sensation of Shaxx shouting "I CANT BELIEVE WHAT IM SEEING" in my headphones. That's why I'm done. I don't want to feel enraged about Bungie's patch decisions anymore. I'm done. I'm done writing long paragraphs about how Bungie is dumb for this and that. I'm done expressing my concern for the state of Crucible. I'm done trying to relive the glory days of Year 1 Crucible, where everything was fun and not reliant on 1 type of gun, and there were actually more than 1 setup for each subclass. I'm done caring about stats and values. I'm done [u]defending[/u] Destiny. I really hope Destiny 2 is a fresh start. I need one. TL;DR Bungie, get your shit together. You just lost a loyal fan. Will you win me back? Possibly. It all depends on how you treat Destiny 2.
