The hell with the haters, THIS is why bnet is the best

Say what you want about the wild west atmosphere we have on our forums, but it's good that bnet isn't Reddit and they both are good for different reasons. Reddit might be a "safe" place for the devs to read feedback, but it's also heavily moderated and scrubbed clean. Bnet might be over the top (see video), but it's also someplace where anything game related can be discussed and anyone with a well thought out opinion can be heard and people are able to express exactly how they feel. That's it. Now back to marveling at how uncannily like Tex he sounds. Love ya bnet

Sounds like a good place, this forum can be so toxic, if someone makes a good point about something people say "git gud." Dumbest shit ever, can't even spell out the words, then look at their pvp k/d and you wonder why they talk shit at all. If you don't like a post or something someone has to say, make a legit argument otherwise keep it moving. There are people on this forum of all ages and you're gonna get people who genuinely want to have an intellectual conversation, than you'll have other people who just want to run their mouths. It'd be a breath of fresh air to find a forum/discussion group where people can say something or post an idea without being ridiculed all the time. I've seen someone on here post a streamers comments/video about Destiny and even though he made a valid point people immediately starting hating on the post saying "F$#k this guy" "he's a scrub" all kinds of nonsense. But if people would've listened to point he was making, it was legit. But people will hate, curse, and try to discredit whomever they disagree with simply because they can.
a well thought out opinion
on b.net? lol. The place where streamers/pvpers get blamed for weak primaries and bad matchmaking (literally the opposite to what they wanted), and where 'remove trials' or 'remove pvp from destiny 2' are considered actual ideas. On here everything and everyone is a scapegoat for whatever angry complaint is in vogue at the time. It's never measured, it's never mature. When cozmo asks for feedback on one thing he's bombarded about another 99, each with (very) varying levels of coherency or punctuation. There was a post about how an event was 'ruined' because someone didn't do a countdown to streamsnipe them for god's sake. This place is mental. The only well thought out, properly researched/sourced material I see are from redditors who x-post here. from /r/destinylore to /r/crucibleplaybook. I recommend anyone getting a little tired of this place check them out. EDIT: also you can't even swear here. But reddit censors the -blam!- out of stuff, right?

      • I watched the video and noticed one of my comments was picked out from replying to Tex. Kinda funny, I guess. However, this isn't healthy. I don't know why there has to be a constant fight between two discussion boards. I've been more of a part of b.net over the last almost 3 years, but I still go through the DTG subreddit on a daily basis for about the last 6 on the as well. Both discussion boards have both made great points in their feedback to Destiny. I don't put one over the other. I look at it like this, reddit is the censored version of feedback which can be good in a way, and b.net is the unfiltered straight forward feedback. Regardless, like I said, both boards are great. I'm not sure if reddit users are trying to think they're better ? I've seen plenty of salt pouring through reddit as well. Shouldn't the same game do comments and threads on reddit as well ? This is the most driven apart community I have ever been apart of. You have pve players vs pvp players. You have reddit users vs b.net users. Casual players vs streamers. So on and so fourth. I know it's nearly impossible to ask people to come together, but this is not helping the problem this community has. I'm sure the dude didn't do it just to throw gasoline in an already burning fire, but shit like this has got to stop. No one is better than the other. This community sure is something.

          • Ya... that probably one thing that impresses me about Bungie... Destiny might not be a 10/10 but they don't seem to hate feedback. Theres a lot of games, like on Steam for example - if you leave a negative review they'll actually revoke your game license and/or ban you from their forum/feedback site. (hasn't happened to me personally, but judging by the large large number of reviews, including curators, it would appear to be legit).

              • Reddit is to Bungie what MSNBC is to Liberals or Fox News is to Republicans. It's a place that they can go that will give them the news that they want to hear, not necessarily the "truth". Bungie would be far better off viewing their own forums, where they can hear the bad things, along with the good, not the sickening suck off that Destiny Reddit is.
