What most people dont realize about the Red Death is it really gotnot one but three nerfs in a single patch.
1. Health Regen
2. High Caliber
3Unflinching
All three of these perk slots got nerfed directly or indirectly. And red death has all 3 of them. Since you now flinch less post patch that has led to an "indirect" nerf to that perk as well.
That being said
Red Deaths basic non perk stats make it a weak pulse rifle in the high/mid impact class. Its perk tree and regen were what made it a decent weapon. It was very underutilized in both PvP and PvE. Prior to this patch nobody ever complained that it was overpowered that I am aware of. I never recieved any hatemail for using it either. It has never been a meta weapon that ever really needed a nerf.
Why dont we give red death back its health regen... and considering all the nerfs this week to its other perks, lets speed up its regen back to year 1 values this time so it becomes a better and more used weapon. Or why dont we sub out unflinching for reactive reload/crowd control/feeding frenzy/ or spray and pray. This would really define red death as the run and gun weapon of choice worthy of an exotic pulse rifle slot.
Currently the only Guardians the Red Death kills is the guardian stupid enough to wield it. And the blood on the gun now mind as well be your own... cuz every perk on the weapon has either directlt or indirectly gotten the shaft this update.
EDIT: I THOUGHT ONE OF THE PERKS ON THE GUN WAS QUICKDRAW... I WAS CORRECTED, IT HAS SINGLE POINT SLING. Which is slightly different

Edited by SinisterSmile: 2/21/2017 2:32:42 PMIt was a great weapon in Year 1. It was a great counter for Thorn until the big nerf to pulse rifles came. I haven't used it since as it was not an "Exotic" anymore. I guess we can say that it was literally nerfed to the ground.
