Well I've gotten a lot of feedback on the new patch a lot of people hate it and a lot of people say get gud scrub or adapt and get gud. I'm not a god at this game I'm average I wouldn't play as much pvp if pve was fun. I remember when pvp and pve were fun thorn and last word were overpowered doctrine was op where almost everything was op. And pve g-horn was the best and elemental primaries god I loved it and I miss it dearly if only they'd bring back the old raids so we could get those elemental primaries. This game I agree has a lot of issues rn I said I was quitting I'm really just taking a break till bungies sandbox team gets there crap together. Y1 was by far the best and any year 2 or year three scrubs or tryhards wanna put hatemail and say I'm bad or get gud I'm not talking about pvp competitiveness I'm talking about just having fun. Atleast bring back year 1 raids and year one meta before you make an entire new destiny. If anyone remembers those good old year one days feel free to comment any buttholes that just wanna start arguments for your own personal pleasure can be blocked

Edited by U14419873: 2/20/2017 7:38:36 AMMy two fondest year 1 Destiny memories both involve the vault of glass. My first one was getting all of the armor in two hard runs and being level 30 before anyone I knew. I had to keep junk armor to go to the tower or I'd get swamped by messages from people wanting me to do the vault with them lol. My other favorite was my third hard vault run at the conflux stage. We had 3 guys alive at the second conflux round and within 2 minutes I was all alone. Everybody is saying "C'mon just wipe bro" and I said "No, I'm a titan, I'm about to clutch this shit, watch!". So me, my weapons bubble, armamentarium, vision of confluence, preadyths revenge and old reliable Gjallarhorn finished round two. Round 3 started and I was a blur. I'm flying between confluxes, slinging grenades every time one charged. Goblins were playthings for my vision, I'm busting hobgoblins with my sniper, I'm dropping rockets on minataurs. My team mates were screaming encouragement in pure zeal, I barely heard the words they were saying through my focus. I was poetry in motion; I was death and none would escape me. After several intense, punishment dealing minutes the templar summoned its fanatics. I have rarely felt such satisfaction in a game. My teammates were in total disbelief at what they had just seen. They didn't care about the loot they had gotten; they cared only for the unstoppable titan they had just witnessed solo the last two conflux rounds and not give up a single sacrifice. That is my legend. ~caseyoakdale

MEGA BUMP!!!!

PVP was fun in year one. Was it perfectly balanced? No, but neither is it now. At least it was fun back then. Everything feels so weak now.
-
I miss the days of vanilla destiny when I could take a rare auto rifle and a low impact fusion rifle into pvp and get 30+ kills in a match...
-
It's called "rose colored glasses." Plenty of things in Y1 were great. Plenty sucked, We tend to forget the shitty parts.
-
I especially like the "git gud scrub" comments. Last week I played two games with my hunter - one game I got a 6.5 k/d and the very next game I got a 0.63 k/d. If we just had dedicated servers, we might be able to improve.
-
I miss landing an exotic and being interested enough to actually look and see what it is. Make the best loot very hard to get and make it very powerful. Make progression slower and more meaningful. Make a game that is fun for casuals and power users. Above all remember this. Making things equal when they should not be is the worst form of inequality. Basically make Y1 destiny minus the critical bugs with a compelling story.
-
111 last word. Yup I wouldn't mind.
-
Bring back the Trials of Thorn! Recall that two weeks of the Vex Mythocast meta, or those months of the Suros meta? Personally, I liked those first couple weeks when the most-used gun was Shingen-E
-
I agree as well. I played Y1 on x360, skipped Y2 and re-entered in Y3. Remember the time when you reached the max. level and it felt like you really achieved something? Or every exotic that was op in its own way (I was so happy when I got thorn back then).
-
Yeah year one was the best, I remember playing both raids on all three characters every week with friends. And the suros and other high impact autos being op. Also when hawkmoon was a breast with a praedyth's revenge and throwing knives. So much fun...
-
Yeah Y1 was good times. The grind wa real, but when you got what you wanted it actually made a difference and you felt like you were actually rewarded for the time and effort you put in. Casual envy destroyed that, imo. They waterd down much of pve because of casuals complaints and the changes have sapped the sense of fun and reward from the game. Now, we just grind for the sake of grinding.
-
I was playing with a 400 the other day and he was the worst person at raid I have ever seen. I hate that. Being max level should be a symbol of a veteran, like in year one. If you are max level, you should be an expert at what you do. Now people can get max level and have no idea what they are doing. Also was it just me or was VoG the most rewarding and fun raid by far. Although, I am kinda in love with WoTM
-
Bump, you r right. Year one felt great. We could find a gun we never had before and have fun rocking people in the crucible. And i loved getting rocked by others. Year one was the best.
-
Bump Year 1 was the gold standard for a TON of people! We are talking pve FUN in year1.
-
Y1 was the best time for most but in different aspects of it. It's a shame this game doesn't have some sort of incentive like y1 did.
-
The Best!
-
I remember getting killed in .8 seconds across the map from a Last Word. Things were good in year 1 but, it was also a mess too. Nostalgia really fogs up the memories.
-
year 1 when I got my vex mytho and went into cruci and always had a 10+ kill streak. lawl
-
In y1 when I got my first fatebringer and some squeaker on forum fireteam said..."what's so good about it" It was fun suiting up for a nightfall with our best guns and elemental primaries for that week. Y1 was the most fun year. When I got a new weapon, it was such a good feeling. Raid weapons felt great. It's sooo sad that they nerfed this game into oblivion, doing so also ruined the best part of what made destiny great....feeling like a badass....Oooo and becoming legend, something like that...lol
-
You can't spell "casualty" without "casual". And something had to die to cater to the bad kids I guess. The game takes practice, like anything you want to be good at. Unless you're playing Crucible. Then all you need is a bad connection.
-
1) soloing and 2-manning the nightfalls when it actually cost you if you messed up 2) Pocket infinity was fun aF in pve 3) re-rolling felwinters, jolders hammer and efrideets spear 4) daily story bounties
-
Does anybody remember in year one when you were still running the regular story missions, you would level up and it would give you your health back and your super?! It still does it, but I absolutely loved that feeling.
-
There's no such thing as overpowered. There's out played, outgunned, out matched and complex superiority. Someone being outplayed can lead to unwanted future changes. Being outgunned can also lead to unwanted future changes. Being out matched can also lead to unwanted future changes. Of course complex superiority of a higher skilled player can lead to unwanted future changes. Year one was great because not over half the people that play or have played Destiny had felt like a change was needed. Bungie had yet to begin the nerfs. Destiny was actually the idea of what the game was supposed to be.

PvP in this game has been the same unbalanced lag fest for the entire time it has existed, it's extremely fun when it works properly, but unfortunately it hardly ever does. PvE has changed for the better because we have more sources for high level loot, infusion, and a lot less less grinding overall.
