Edit 2: to avoid confusion, im not talking about PvP changes affecting PvE, im talking more focus on missions, story, strikes, enemy designs, raids, etc.

Edited by albinomachina: 2/17/2017 8:39:04 PMWhat they should do is split the company into two equal halves and give them a base model to start with as far as weapons and classes etc ... Then, let one half do PvE and the other half handle the Crucible. Keep them totally separate from one another and then package both of them together under the title "Destiny 2" and you could just buy the PvP updates or the PvE updates or both if you wanted and play the part of the game that you want. edit - I really think there should be separate PvP gear and PvE gear. You should unlock your Crucible stuff by playing the Crucible and you unlock your PvE stuff by playing it. You couldn't equip one in the other playlist and just let each team run their side of the game and not affect the other. It may be expensive, but I would buy that.
-
Content like missions, story, and raids cost them money. They let the content dry up, then hope you waste all your time in crucible. They would like to see the pvp have the success CoD or Battlefield because it's cheap for them and a moneymaker. I bought this game because I thought it would have things I wanted. A good story, a stronger RPG element, open world exploration, and better raiding. Instead they want to steer you to PvP, which by the way is atrocious. It's rampant with laggy red bar warriors, cheaters, and paid carries by sweats. If Destiny 2 does not put more emphasis on PvE, I see myself playing Bioware's new game.
-
Easier said than done? All for more pve love though. Would be nice to see some sort of dark zone in d2, for some pvp/pve goodness. The Division died on its ass, but it did have some good ideas.

How to fix Destiny: Get rid of the Crucible.
-
Yes!! The point of this game was supposed to be PvE. After year 1 all they did was cater to PvP
-
Agreed. PvP never should have been in the game. At the very most, should have been an afterthought, and sadly it has ruined the entire game to its core.
-
My experience since the beta: Fell in love with pve Sucked at pvp Finally got pretty ok at pvp Still loved pve Game died Stuck with pvp Made a new account to enjoy pve Game died again Stuck with pvp Complain about pvp constantly. Keep playing pvp 🖕me

They destroy more and more the fun in pve one day we have only a stone for killing ads

They need to make the PVE like it was in Y1. It's the only way PVE content can be sustainable in this game. They simply can't produce enough of it in their production cycles, so they have to rely on giving us incentives to repeatedly run content over and over. The problem is nobody really likes running 300 strikes in a week. Running 3+ raids is much more acceptable and much less tedious IMO. Move the game back to how it was in Y1, where the endgame gave the best rewards, less of the games best loot was questified, and let us actually grind to get stuff that MATTERS, and PVE will be much more relevant for a much longer period. It may not last forever, but it'll last MUCH longer than the 1-2 months it currently lasts under the Y2 format where there is no incentive to play anything more than a strike, and everything is easy to get.
-
No, PvE is trash
-
I always hoped they would bring back an improved monthly Queens Wrath type of pve event, alas maybe Destiny 2 will give something more substantial:)
-
BREAKING NEWS: PvP extends the life of a game and that will never change. If you're tired of being bad, stop playing first person shooters. Simple.
-
Pve is Bungies bast ard child that it would drown in the river, in an old Sack, if it could
-
I hope Destiny 2 elevates their PvE side and then continues to focus attention on it. Not at the sacrifice of PvP, but to try to vary events or loot (how about rotating vendor offerings every week or two). Merely having the two separated would be nice. Even if it just relaxed the small ammo carries on specials (in particular) and heavies in PvE. A useless PvE restriction that has its roots in the connected PvP balancing. Not a fault of crucible. A fault of trying to keep two things equal that really are not.
-
Id like more pve stuff. Pvp is really really bad right now. Everytime they try to fix it they just -blam!- things up more. One step forward but a thousand steps back. I play a lot of strikes now but its all the same shit. When they add small arms as a modifier i love it cuz then primaries feel powerful. Otherwise everything feels so weak.

Edited by One Death, Lord Of Xibalba: 2/17/2017 10:14:37 PMIt won't happen. Just like Rockstar is doing with GTA V, multiplayer is both lucrative and crucial to a video game's survivavility. Destiny as a whole is moving more towards pvp then anything else.
