Make helmet perks useful for both PvE and PvP (remove the “on minions of the Darkness” part)
On regular legendary helmets the following perks are available in the middle tree:
Ashes to Assets: Gain bonus Super energy on Grenade kills.
Inverse Shadow: Increased Super energy gained from killing minions of the Darkness.
Hands-on: Gain bonus Super energy from melee kills on minions of the Darkness.
Second Thoughts: Gain bonus Super energy from Special Weapon kills on minions of the Darkness.
Heavy lifting: Gain bonus Super energy from Heavy Weapon kills on minions of the Darkness.
Five of these five perks are useful in PvE. Only one of these five perks is useful in PvP (Ashes to Assets).
The perks ‘Hands-on’, ‘Second thoughts’ and ‘Heavy lifting’ can also be made useful for PvP by simple removing the “on minions of the Darkness” part from the perk. Why is Ashes to Assets the only perk that does not have the description “on minions of the Darkness”?
It’s pretty impossible to make Inverse Shadow also useful for PvP, so better to leave that one alone.
It is pretty weird that if you get a helmet from playing Trials of Osiris, there is only a one in four chance that you will earn a PvP helmet.
So, it’s fairly easy to make more helmet perks useful for both PvE and PvP, and not only for PvE…
Cheers!
