Bungie... No... Deej! Think about Sunsingers!

That is maybe the hundredth Post of Sunsingers and about a really needed buff. But Bungie... Why do you don't buff sunsingers? Have this Subclass to be a PvE only effective class? Ok, some People play effective with Fusions combined with the Clever Dragon/Shotgun Meta... But what's about People like me? People who want to play Sunsingers with Solar Grenades and Self Resc.? Have we to get dominated by other (Sub)classes? Is it our Fate to be Cannon fodder? Why are we so weak? Have we no rights to exist in the Crucible? I mean, look at the crowd of Voidwalker/Stormcaller Warlocks. They are consistent. But we, we are like the dirt on which the other guardians run and fight. I can remember myself to a good and FAIR time in Year One. We were a good competetive Subclass and only the old Viking Funeral Perk was a little bit to strong. But now we have the Artifact of Silimar... We get nerfed indirect by this Artifact and other Subclasses defeat us every time. In the last match I played, the Barrel gone overflowed! I played with Radiant Skin and half armor and died in 1-2 Seconds after the activation of my super by a goddamn Sidearm... How? Why? That is not fair! We have rights! But it feels like we have to be a sea of skulls that covered the ground around the other classes. I play this game for fun and I don't think this Game should produce Pain for us. We have a right to be able to play how we want. But with the current strenght of Sunsinger we are a dead Subclass for PvP. So please Bungie[i] (and Deej, as a Warlock)[/i], listen to us!

  • I know this sounds stupid...But with the reduction of total special ammo I can quite easily see sunsinger being decent again. It's problem was being res sniped and shotgunned. About 50% of that problem will disappear. Now go my friend. Burn the world with solar grenades or strike the world with tracking nukes we call fusion grenades!

                As a Sunsinger main, a simple buff to armor in super or at least radiant skin would be acceptable. Maybe a slight grenade buff.

                • I find them pretty effective to be honest I don't think their weak. I would make the case that they need more useful perks other than the obvious ones, Angel of light is mostly useless compared to a free grenade. Solar wind is Knock back on melee is actually completely useless and Brimstone: explosion on death with melee is something that strikers and voidwalkers just do better 1 cause striker is on hit not on death and 2 cause voidwalker is on any ability kill. Song of light would be kind of cool if it could even recharge one of my teammates grenades and had an area of effect that doesn't require me to hug them when you would think id be going aggressive with super not spooning my teammate to give them a grenade but hey I'm sure that one is a pve only perk only its so bad that you don't see anyone calling for a sunsinger to huddle up with their super to get the teams dps up. Solar orbs on melee kills is fun to play around with I guess but its not really viable if your doing anything but messing around in a strike your overleveld for... TL;DR That one and a half builds you can do for sunsinger are not weak their really pretty strong its just that theirs so many perks that are literally useless compared to anything else or are just to situational for you to ever pick.

                  • Sunsinger is still pretty good and Im using solar grenades with high armor and radiant skin. Works wonders and the multi kills from the burns are halirous. The new Viking funeral may not be as strong as the old one, but it does wonders when you're getting a damage bonus and a burn on those guys you're trying to kill.

                      • Do you really think Bungie cares about what people have to say on the forums? They'll literally scroll through here without a second thought on each topic. It's better just to save your time because Bungie quite obviously doesn't care about their player base, or rather the ones they do care about, frankly suck shit.

                        Sunsinger is amazing. It's one of the most balanced classes there is. I just had a 7 k/d against primal purechill420 from nKuch's clan in trials and I'm a 1.0 on my warlock lol. They said after the match in their stream we were a stacked team like what?                       • Honestly I don't know why people think sunsinger sucks. They have two viable grenades with a great melee and a super that allows them to use both in abundance. I love playing sunsinger as it allows me to still gun people down while gaining armor and being able to throw grenades at will and ohk melee anyone who gets too close.

                        • As a hunter main I usually rely on gun skill than abilities to kill people so playing sunsinger and defender feel more welcoming than other subclasses I like using solar grenades to soften up enemies or cut off an escape route so I can easily put in a few bullets to kill them.

                          • Sunsinger has been shot in the back of the head and tumbled into a shallow grave. In short order, I expect the corpses of Stormcaller and possibly Bladedancer will fall in on top of it. After that, who knows? Never laugh when the nerf hearse goes by, your subclass may be next to DIE!

                            • My only hope is that this is improved with Destiny 2. I really want to see all classes either like nightstalker and defender really good tactical ability or like voidwalker where it is just a straight forward decent class. Right now sort of all solar classes and especially sunsinger is hot garbage.

                            • OR use fireballs and follow up with a hand cannon body shot. Or spam firebolts during radiance. Whatever you do, just know that void walkers are better.

                            • sidearm TTK is stupid good. You can dish out hella damage in 1-2 seconds even if you're running Radiant Skin. The Teacup Tempest I have has Crowd Control, Lightweight, and Reactive Reload which is apparently a very common roll and it's nasty!
