Bungie, lets have a social experiment. I think it just needs to be done again. Just like with CBMM, folks need to be given what they ask for, then forced to live with it. We need a Year 1 QoL Rollback, but keep current available content. So... All features of Year 1 should be reinstated: - Loot Drop Rates - Loot Tables (Ascended Materials, Coins, etc from Raids, Nightfalls, PoE, etc.) - Cryptarch Decryption Algorithms Back to his former self. When decryption was [i]exciting[/i]. - Upgrade Process (Back to Ascended Materials, Class Materials, Weapon Parts being from dismantle only.) - Light Level being a stat on Gear & not Infusion. - Boss & Elite Enemy HP Values (Across the board. Even Raid enemies & Bosses.) - Vanguard & Crucible Marks - Faction Vendors requiring Crucible Marks & Accommodations. - Faction System: Must be wearing a Faction item, & faction gains. - Elemental Primaries - Exotic Strength Thorn, The Last Word, Vex Mythocast, Suros Regime, Hawkmoon, all exotics to year 1 [i]glory[/i] despite their effect on gameplay. - Year 1 CBMM only MM. - Weekly Heroic Strikes return to no MM. - Vault Space reduced to Year 1 Standards - Player Super Strength All Supers are Year 1 strength again. Then to ensure the gameplay is authentic. Have everyone's current gear & character data backed up on a "Holding Server/Vault" then roll everyone back to Day 1 of Rise of Iron. However their character was on that day will be their starting ground. Now everyone can play through Rise of Iron, all its content, & all previous content the Year 1 way. But include a warning that this rollback will last for a minimum of 6 months period. So there will be no returning to current QoL & etc standards. Upon log in, all veteran characters players will be given a "1 Time Choice". They can play the Year 1 Client roll back with the above features. or... They can play the Year 3 Client. Once made they have a 24hr grace period to get their things in order. Then they are locked into whichever server they chose. Those who purchase a NEW copy of Destiny: The Collection will be placed on a the Year 3 Server until they hit Veteran Status. (Aka: So New Accounts & players won't be subjected to this.) When 6 months expire you (Bungie) should release an ingame player poll. Once the votes are in you can tally then up, reveal it in game for all the playerbase to see. Then go in that direction for Destiny 2. ________________ On a personal note... This could be fun. As nostalgia dies an quick & horrible death in everyone's minds. We can watch the forums fill with salt, & posts begging for the rollback to be removed. Begging for Year 3 return. But as stated, 6 months before anything will be addressed.
