Destiny Endgame without Taken King expansion
TL;DR - Is there any endgame in Destiny w/o the dlcs? Primarily TTK.
I just got my Warlock main to level 34 (I am by no means a good player), and I noticed that there is not much beyond that point for the vanilla game. I've done most of the content and went into pvp, but I'm not finding much else to do besides 3v3 and the level 20 strike playlist. By the way, is there a way to change difficulty? I've been wanting that for a while but haven't found any way, preferably on strikes and patrols. Gear seems to be a big problem, as all my rare engrams cap at level 26 and I haven't found any legendaries (I'm assuming you can't get them unless you get the dlc, same with Y1 exotics). I could suppose I could get better gear, as mine is pretty trash right now, but I just feel strange wearing uncommons. So is there any endgame without the dlc? Does blue cap at level 26 ? Can I get legendaries or exotics? And finally, do I need the dlc?

4 RepliesEdited by OopsYourself: 1/3/2017 5:31:23 AMPick up the DLC. Honestly, you shoulda just bought the collection for 60$. Most of the endgame is completely locked off at this point. The only way you can get legendary gear is to run the Vault of Glass raid. The only problem is, is that nobody runs it because that gear can't be brought up to current level, so almost nobody runs it. That would also be the only way you can get any type of decent gear it only starts dropping at level 40 which you can't get to since you don't have the expansions.
