Say for example when you open your menu and you see your character with subclasses and gear with pve specific abilities and perks. You then scroll up to another page and again see your character with different subclasses and gear with pvp specific abilities and perks. Does anyone feel separating the two activity types from gear and classes like that would help better balance the game? I wouldn't expect too see a change like that in Destiny but maybe Destiny 2.

No. But competitive modes should give everyone the same loud out and only allow a single perk combination a week. That way everyone is on a level playing field

If pvp had set load outs for ranked playlists it could be considered competitive maybe

Well dear while it will help with balance, it's not what Bungie wants and neither do I. I don't want to login to cruicible and can't use my nightstalker since it is now Darkchampion and only uses quiver and poison smoke

Well, having to learn one way to play vs another is something we all already do if we play both, and considering half the game is PvP, I'd say a good majority play in the crucible. Changing it drastically might be a little too much. Bungie has separated certain changes to the game before, such as shotgun's doing 300% more damage at close range to non-guardian targets (which was later toned down, but you get the point). In a way it'd be awesome, because it would allow them to basically go nuts making some insanely cool things for PvE that wouldn't be possible in PvP due to all the balancing issues. Then again, i like the idea of taking all the abilities I use on the Darkness and carrying them over to PvP.

I feel like it would help a lot for the non- pvp player such as i because when pvp players whine it affects my gameplay too
