While some may find success with this gun, it's stats are fairly mediocre, and its perks don't do enough to fix it. Taking smooth ballistics, hammer forged, and hidden hand is the only real option you have, since you have to fix the extremely low range stat of 19. As with most hand cannons, range is the most important stat to maximize. A Stolen Pride with just Rifled Barrel has 51 range. Even when taking the "optimal" loadout with the Exile's Student, you only have 37 range. The Exile's Student is a reward from the endgame PvP content, yet it's easily replaced by almost every other hand cannon. The Student should emphasize the best parts of the hand cannons class, but it seems to have been designed to do the exact opposite. The changes I propose would be to either: A) Increase the base range, so that it hits 50 range with Smooth Ballistics and Hammer Forged applied B) Replace Hammer Forged with Rifled Barrel (if nessesary, increase base range to hit 50) Both options would have the Exile's Student hitting the top of its archetypes range. If the Exile's Student had a comparable range to other weapons in its class, it far more likely to see use.
