Raid Idea: The Ice Bridge East (Part 3, end)

Jump to Part 1: [url]https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/202910206[/url] Jump to Part 2: [url]https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/202910830[/url] [u]Chapter 7 (Final): The New City [/u] [b]Construct and secure the New City.[/b] A “Summon Ghost” prompt will activate the final sequence, wherein the Ghost will begin digistructing in this order: a Main Base, defense batteries, comm towers, and finally, landing pads. The four items to digistruct will be in different locations, and multiple Ghosts can work simultaneously on the same construct, depending on how close the Guardian is to said construct. Similar to the first chapter of this raid, all building progress and health bars will together on the HUD. The Main Base construction will go on over the course of roughly 30 seconds and finish uneventfully, familiarizing Guardians with this concept of multiple Ghosts hastening construction as a function of relative location. Once constructed, the white triangle “Squadron,” will appear, allowing respawning (even in hard mode) remotely after 60 seconds. “Squadron will be available as long as the Main Base is constructed. This construct must be constructed first. Upon completion of this first base, the Fallen take notice. During digital construction of the Defense Batteries, Fallen squads containing a mixture of Dregs and Vandals for every one Captain will occasionally come out of the nearby base and attack the structures, if not the Guardians. Similar to the downed Skiff, Guardians will need to defend the erecting base structures, drawing fire whenever possible. With each structure having less health than the Skiff, it is ok if a structure is destroyed here, the Ghost(s) will simply need to reconstruct it via Guardians standing relatively near it. Upon completion of the defense batteries, surface-surface and surface-air turrets will activate, destroying the wall of the Fallen base and escalating the battle. This construct provides no bonus, unlike the Main Base’s “Squadron.” From behind the now-destroyed wall, a Fallen Captain appears with Boss health bar: “Akiks, Fallen Battlemaster,” denoted as AFB hereafter. AFB bears two shields on top of his health bar- a normal Arc shield first and a special Solar shield underneath- and wields a Scorch Cannon that functions similarly to the heavy exotic, Dragon’s Breath. AFB does not target Guardian structures, but additional Fallen squads appear throughout the fight to do so. Construction of the comm towers comes third, and also provides no added bonus. Lastly, the Landing Pads are constructed. If all four structures are completed, a white triangle will take effect: “Reclamation.” With “Reclamation” active, Guardian damage is greatly increased. Additionally, the storm will start to clear up, increasing visibility and brightness as the sun starts to shine down. If, however, one or less structures are standing at any point during the AFB fight, a red triangle will take effect: “Land Claim.” With “Land Claim” active, Guardians will do almost no damage to AFB. When AFB reaches 40% health, he will become enraged, and white text will appear bottom left: [i]“Akiks will not let this settlement fall!”[/i] While enraged and as long as his Solar shield is active, AFB will occasionally let out a roar, sending out a flaming area attack, and will become more aggressive in his movement and attacking. Once AFB falls and all four building are constructed, the skies clear and the raid ends. [spoiler]HARD MODE: The storm pulsates slowly between near white-out conditions and bad visibility, and AFB’s shields regenerate more quickly.[/spoiler] End talk: Executor Hideo: [quote]Guardians... thank you. Low impact, high magazine, non-elemental primary sidearm. Perk: Critical hits with this weapon slow the target by 5% (stacks up to ten times). X2 damage to targets slowed by Icepick and critically hit by a Solar weapon. x4 critical hit damage to targets slowed by Icepick and “detonated” by Icebreaker. Both effects dispel slow. Text: “All it takes to start an avalanche is a well-placed Icepick.”[/spoiler] Raid Gear perks: [spoiler]Helmet: Grants a form of “heat vision” during low-visibility. Gauntlets: Grenades of Solar subclasses dispel Nature’s Chill Chest piece: Carrying two “Founder’s Blocks” now only counts as one. Boots: Higher resistance to gusts of wind.[/spoiler] Other: [spoiler]Sparrow: Iceglider. Very high speed at the cost of lower handling, no dodges, no banking, no overdrive. Ship: First Assault. Contains a slow-charging signal jammer, which can be used in Chapter 1 to disrupt homing missiles or temporarily take a Ketch system offline. Shaders: Icy Wind, Permafrost, etc. Styles of light blue with white.[/spoiler] GUARANTEED UNLOCK: [spoiler]New social area, The New City.[/spoiler] Ah, that's it!
