Which of the Hadium Blades is the closest to Willbreaker

Good morning, afternoon, and Good night, my new friends. This is my first "Theory" post, and to make it a good one, I wish to talk about the relation between Willbreaker, sword of Oryx, and Darkdrinker, the Reforged Hadium blade. Now, from the grimore card for Darkdrinker, it firstly tells you this:
Let me tell you why you should not fear Willbreaker, the sword of Oryx.
Now, why would one need to fear, or not fear, something that no longer exists, for in the mission "Regicide", we saw Oryx use the remaining power he bestowed within the blade to "Take" himself, or transport to his Throne world. Well, we reforged the blades, being Raze-Lighter, Bolt-Caster and Darkdrinker from it's remains, leaving a residue of the original Willbreaker in our own Hadium-forged Destroyers of Aksis. But that applies to all blades, and that would make them all equals, yes? Until you read a little more into the grimore:
Each death it trades for life hones its edge, gives it weight and gravitas and insistence within the vortex of its own totality.
Now, the first part does not ring any bells for me, but the last part sets off Alarms. We've seen that in the Regicide mission, Oryx uses his sword to burn the air around us, creating a "Vortex" of sorts. Darkdrinker also creates Vortexes, as does Boltcaster. This next part also eliminates Raze from the list of the true Willbreaker:
Willbreaker demands a subjugation more diffuse than the simple snick and smash of a physical brink. It does not have to touch you to wound you.
Now, what doesn't need to touch you to hurt you? Boltcaster, sending out a spinning arc Vortex. However, neither does Darkdrinker, you only spin the blade around you once, then Void energy crackles and recreates the spin. Raze-Lighter needs to hit you to do damage, the Solar energy is just a part of the Sword, not an extension. Lastly, the elements. Oryx came from Darkness, (S)he is the closest thing to Darkness we have. What else is energy harnessed from Darkness? Void. We have taken energy from other sources without truly understanding it, like the Pocket Infinity and Vex Mythoclast, the Necrochasm does this too. And it was said that in a Warlock Grimore that:
We have found new ways to weaponize curiosity. Pathways into the darkness.
And this most likely relates to Voidwalkers, users of the Void energy. If this is what they do to use their power, becoming paths for the Darkness to enter and to be excreted as Void, then this must be the same case with Darkdrinker, thus making it: -A descendent of Willbreaker, -A Vortex-Creating Weapon, -A weapon that does not require physical touch to harm, -And a weapon that draws upon the Darkness. Thanks for having me, and thanks to Bapao for giving me the idea and helping with the Warlock "Gateway" part. Edit: Thanks for the support, for it seems that I need to fix my eyesight and rework the title. I realise now that all the swords contain elements of Willbreaker, but I believe that Darkdrinker has most of the qualities of the original sword. Edit 2: Now, the name Darkdrinker leads me to believe that it takes the Void Energy, or darkness, from others and everything around it. This could relate to it being part of the Sword logic, whereas the others do not really show any semblance to it. Dreadfang, whilst it actually is taken and is the apparent peak of Sword Logic, this weapon is but an imitation of Willbreaker, not a recreation. Raze-Lighter represents the physicality of Willbreaker, the raw power and strength of the blade. Boltcaster represents the range of the Willbreaker, the driving force of fear that does not need physical touch to harm, and keeps the Air-Burning technique. Darkdrinker represents the Sword Logic and Darkness of Willbreaker, using the Darkness as an extension of itself and drinking it. It continues, in this sense, to use Oryx's ability to drain light, or drink it. This is just speculation, but it seems to be pretty worthy, and I thank you gor the feedback.

    • I'm sorry dear, you missed the whole point of the sword. We took the core of willbreaker, and reforged it. Each one is the opposite of the willbreaker but also is the new willbreaker, each one is forged in light where it was forged in darkness.

      • I believe that Darkdrinker is more of an opposite to Willbreaker. Willbreaker consumed light, whereas Darkdrinker consumes dark.

      • They all have the "core" of the Willbreaker infused into it. It's just been repurposed into the Guardian's Light and element. So they're all equally the Willbreaker.

      • In the second quote, the part that doesn't ring any bells to you, that looks like the ascendant sword card, which says that they gain power from each kill, and it must apply to our swords too.

      • Uh, didn't they all go through the exact same process? So wouldn't they all be the same relative to the original (unless your considering element, or appearence to be most important)?

        • I don't think this is an equation to be made. Since Willbreaker is has been existing for eons, and its power is almost unlimited. The Hadium Swords are just weak pieces of Willbreaker, not able to ever replicate the original sword's deeds. But I'm interested to see what the relation between the Touch of Malice (and if course the Ravenous Hart) and Willbreaker, because I believe Willbreaker is a sword that is very close to Oryx's mind itself. Or would it be bound to the Dreadnaught cores, since the sword seems to take it's energy from the Narthex or other cores on the vessel...

          • I like the idea but truthfully each of the swords are equal in terms of the lore. Willbreaker became a powerful blade due to its wielder. Oryx killed many beings across the universe for eons. This in turn made his blade powerful. If we do the same with any one of the exotic swords they will in turn grow in their power regardless of blade chosen or their corresponding element.

              • It would be nice if there were exotics that allowed us to use our supers for other things... I've thought about a hand cannon or scout rifle that causes your super to fill much faster, but every shot fired takes a bite of it similar to the inappropriate touch of malice. The trade off is that it funnels that power into the weapon. While it is feeding off your super energy, the element of that super is funneled into the the weapon, granting it an elemental burn, and changes the mechanics of the weapon, higher impact and range on solar, higher rate of fire and reload speed or recharge speed on arc. Higher stability on void, perhaps with something like a dark firefly where crit kills explode or generate a smoke grenade effect.... I suppose that would have to have some kind of trade off, so maybe instead of reload you can only fire it with existing super energy, so when you run out, you have to switch weapons while it refills. Be nice to do the same with swords... Just totally drop the current physics, you can hack and slash with the blade until it runs out of power, but triggering your super while it's equipped causes it to perform a sword based super attack and recharge the weapon...

                                          • So...that crystal that Eris takes from the blade? It's called a dark heart, if I recall correctly, and it represents the power of the Willbreaker, in accordance with the Sword Logic. The exotic sword you reforge contains this piece of the original Willbreaker. At first, it is attuned to the Darkness, hence it's dark coloration. During the process of A Sword Reforged, we engage in the basic form of the Sword Logic by slaying our equals with the blade in the Crucible, that being other Light-bearers, thus 'each life it takes hones it's edge'. The basis of Sword Logic is that you gain power and potency in the universe by subjugating others, the old might makes right concept, except in this case might grants more might. The 'vortex of it's own totality' refers more to the nature of the weapon in the hands of someone who follows the Sword Logic than anything else. If you have power in your blade, and using it to kill only makes you stronger, the use of that weapon will become everything to the truly corrupt. It will become a totality, and the allure of using it to become even more powerful is an irresistible draw, or vortex. Willbreaker not having to touch you to kill you is also tied in with the Sword Logic, in that the purpose of the blades is to enforce your will on physical reality. Thus the blade can subjugate victims in many ways, some seemingly magical or mystical, but does not rely solely on a cut or a smash. I will semi-agree with the Warlock quote, in that it seems the Guardians do this frequently; we take something we don't totally understand, and use it to our advantage. The Light helps us in these attempts, but as we see with the Touch of Malice, some things like the heart of Oryx still have repercussions on us for their use. In a lot of respects, we play with fire; realizing that we don't fire the Vex Mythoclast by pulling the trigger is a good example. The firing mechanism contains a causal loop, meaning that we didn't decide to fire the gun, the gun was going to be fired at that time according to the timeline, and we simply pulled the trigger at the same time. Great job putting this together on your part, and I hope you enjoyed / benefited from my analysis as well.
