House of Scar Ch. 19

I am proud say that I have crossed over with Azidamadjida's Reef Mob series. Just to say you will have to read Reef Mob's crossover chapters to understand this: Ch. 22 Ch. 23 and Ch. 24 Make sure you read his whole series. It's long but it is very good. Here's my Master Thread. Vesrik flew his Ketch back to 6 Demeter with Seren Cay, Baroness of 6 Demeter and the leader of this Reef Mob. She has proposed an exchange: I give her the access codes to Taniks' Ketch to free a Tanis, and they give me the parts to build Teriks Prime. The strange thing is, my brother is dead. Not to mention the Wolf Rebellion happened not too long ago. Those questions were for when we got to Hedon House, the base of the Reef Mob. First we had to pick up my nephew, Zatkis. He was supposed to meet me on 6 Demeter, but the Reef Mob found me, but no harm done. Although Zatkis will be more angered, especially when he will have to hear his father's name: Taniks, the Scarred. It's more confusing than angering, and Zatkis will find himself being both. I see Zatkis' skiff docked where we were suppost to meet. "There, that is him", I tell the Baroness. She has a strange look. I have already told her that this is Taniks' son. I can tell she has suspicions. I contact Zatkis, and give him a briefing. "Zatkis, follow me. An awoken group has offered a deal. They will not allow us to get the parts, but for a small price. Do not worry, we will speak more at their base. Please be very respectful, too. Let's make this easy on ourselves." Zatkis was puzzled, neither of us expected Awoken when we came here, but he understood. "Fine, I'll be right behind you." The Ketch docked itself right outside Hedon House, as well as Zatkis' Skiff. Once we entered we were given looks from Seren's guard. They obviously did not like the Eliksni. We went to what was the throne room of the Awoken Baroness. We were going to discuss this further, and I would get some answers. She spoke with welcome and said, "I wish to make this simple for you, and... Zatkis, let me tell you about our deal." "I do not mind, but make it easy on me", he said jokingly. Vesrik was worried, but the Tech witch did not care. Seren replied, "Let us get straight to it: a member of our family has been captured, and... something else important was left on Earth's Moon. In exchange for the parts to your Prime, your uncle will gift me the access codes to Taniks' Ketch, to free our lost family member." The carelessness in Zatkis eyes turned from anger, then to horror. Memories were flooding through his mind of the countless people that Taniks labeled Tanis', and what he had not only done to their bodies, but their minds. He made them think they were nameless, voiceless, and the only way to live was through torment. Tears ran down his eyes, then sadness turned to anger. "You said Taniks Ketch, didn't you? But that's impossible, unless his Ketch was taken by the Exiles, correct?" He tried to stay calm. Seren Cay could see the anger, but remained calm. "No. Taniks accompanies his own Ketch, and he has many Tanis's aboard. If we can we will free them, but it is uncertain." Zatkis' hand began to twitch and shake, and now he showed anger. "How is that possible? He was killed by a fireteam of the dead soldiers!" I then got up and said, "I'm sorry about him, but he is right. What is going on, Baroness? There are things you are not telling us." This tipped Seren a little bit, and she was bothered by the questioning. "This was not part of the deal. As far as you should be concerned, you only need the parts for your servitor." I persisted, although knowing what she's capable of. "I understand that, your Grace; but as the brother of Taniks I deserve to know how he is alive, more so his son here." Seren answered with a more stern tone. "You will give me the access codes, Vesrik, and that line of questioning is not appropriate." Zatkis grew impatient, and made himself stern. "We will have answers! He is my father and I may hate him, but why should I not know?" I feared for Zatkis and jumped in front of him. He could see the eyes of the Techeun begin to glow and they could feel her power growing, so he had to say something: "Zatkis, stop! We will get answers, but now is not the time! Please try to understand!" Zatkis ignored him and persisted, "You will tell us answers, 'Grace'! There's more to this story, isn't there? My father is alive all of a sudden, and Skolas? Time is fragmented, the Rabid and the Scarred are alive, and I will know why!" The Baroness grew furious. "I warn you, Vesrik, your nephew is far out of place! It would be a tragedy if he dies!" Zatkis pulled a Shrapnel from his back, and aimed it at her. He had no fear, for he grew up with Taniks, who was scarred, and born without it. The Techeun lifted herself from the ground and was ready to fight. Vesrik stood between the two of them, with his large blade drawn. "Stop! This is not what was suppost to happen! I will give you the codes, Seren, but please stop!" But before he knew it he turned around, and saw Zatkis, blood and foam spilling from his mouth.
