The Community deserves a straight answer about Vault Space
Bungie has been hinting about Vault space not being an issue since before Rise of Iron dropped, but have not directly addressed the question of will Vault space be increased, and if so when. I appreciate the efforts of introducing kiosks to help reduce the strain on the Vault, but masks and SRL gear are not the only things taking up space.
I would prefer a straight answer, and if the answer is no some reason why. It is fine is we aren't getting Vault space due to technical, financial issues or whatever, just let us know so we aren't waiting for something that is never going to happen. I'm sure they have heard the feedback that a big portion of the playerbase would enjoy more space, a direct response would be nice even if it isn't "The Dawning will add an extra tab to the Vault for each section".

13 RepliesI, too, would like a straight answer on this. Just a clear "Yes, this is happening" or "No, it's not happening". If there are no plans to increase vault space for D1, then I might well go ahead and dismantle the Y1 raid armor/weapons, even though I really don't want to given how hard (and long) I worked for these. What I don't understand is what was the point of dropping legacy support if we can't get something so seemingly simple as a vault increase? As others have said, I'd be willing to pay extra for this capability, a la Diablo. Would gladly pay it. But this silence from Bungie on this is deafening. Bungie created a game built around grinding for rare loot and then restrict the means to store it. The worst part about this is that it penalizes the people who play the most -- who have been with Destiny from the beginning and have the most to show for it. As it stands now, I'm ready to quit playing as my vault can no longer keep up with the copious amounts of Y3 weapons and armor sets.

3 Replieslets be honest here, nobody in here uses all of those 100+ guns on their inventory. there is no point on keeping every single eyesluna, matador or "god roll" sniper you get. start deleting and save yourselves from hoarding. collection? no not true, you cant possible get the probably 100's and 100's of guns in the entire game.

bump Honestly I've moved onto playing other games more because of this. It pretty sad that they make a game that throws this much loot at you and such limited amounts of vault space. People don't realize it yet, but we're basically back to yr 1 ratio when it comes to vault space::available loot, ya know back when we had a whopping 20-something spaces to store shit it the vault. It's ridiculous IMHO. We shouldn't have to beg so much for the ability to make playing this monotonous, repetitive game whorthwhile

11 RepliesThey said that the legacy consoles were holding vault space back, didn't they what happened to that notion when ROI went current gen only? Probably not til D2 will we see any increase in vault space. Here's why; if the rumors are true in D2 then nothing is going forward and they are going to make people start from scratch (blech). If that's the case then its a moot point and they wouldn't want to encourage us to get too attached to anything we have now. Just a few thoughts, more space is fine. But I don't see it happening.

I collect legendary sets, from old raids and PVP activities, rare items and stuff you just cannot get any more. I have my bright pink handcannon from the one and only Queen's Wrath event. I have a set of Adept weapons from year 1 Trials, all the year 1 Iron Banner weapons. I have sapphire wire and an embalming orb. I like to preserve the history of the game, as Bungie slowly removes parts of it (I had some FOTL '15 candy like chocolate strange coins, but they were completely removed, which made me a bit sad). I've already had to delete stuff to make way for Rise of Iron gear. Stuff I really wanted to keep (like my year 1 Shadow Price, which I reasoned I could relunctantly delete because a new version was available). I got rid of my Emerald Light bond, figuring I could get it back from Eris later on, well when ROI dropped, Eris lost most of her class items from her vendor. I spent so many hours, weeks, months, now years, trying to get this gear. Fighting trash RNG to get some of the rarest items in the game (Praetorian Foil). There's no way I want to delete this gear, because if I ever want to get it back, it could take years again!

A keen eye will notice that issues with the vault also tend to effect ones inventory. If your inventory is jam-packed full of gear that you never use, chances are the same is going on in your vault. 2. Open your Vault! Do you have unnecessary amounts of weapons and armour filling your vault to the brim? Do you have 6 different types of high-impact sniper rifles stored away incase of a balance patch that makes them a bit better? Do you have 12 different high-impact auto-rifles that you keep on hand because you think the dev's will buff them at some point in the near future? Do you have 12 different ghosts to help farm resources both on patrol, and for in the Crucible? If yes, then proceed to step 3. If no, then screw off you beautiful slimeball. 3. Realize you're hoarding useless junk that will never get used. Delete anything that you have not used in one-weeks time. Old year 1 weapon? Doesn't matter. If you don't use it, no point keeping it. 4. Realize you have just increased the amount of space available in your vault just by following these three simple steps! Thank you, and have a nice day.

Bungie almost never gives a straight answer, and would rather last minute us or just spring it on us and get praised for doing so.
