New Death Stranding trailer/info
Very...interesting
It shows a little more than the first trailer, but it's still pretty vague.
Edit:
New panel discussion where Kojima talks about the partnership with Guerrilla Games and about using their engine for the game.
Also a little bit about the game characters. Norman Reedus will be the main protagonist you play as (already pretty know, but now confirmed) and Mads will be the antagonist. Kojima also hinted at female characters but isn't ready to go into that quite yet.

You know, for one of the most vague game trailers I've seen, it's easily one of the best. I've never even heard of this Kojima, but when I saw this, My hype escalated. It almost made me ok with the fact that PT was cancelled. [i][b]Almost.[/b][/i]

This has such a cool aesthetic. The weird meat hanging off the tank, the skeleton soldiers, the WW2 planes with the wires hanging behind, Mads having like weird Skull Unit powers while also being in combat gear, the cords or ropes connected to everything, just god damn, dude.

I'm liking the setting/tone of the game. Hopefully it's more of an adventure/action/story game rather than horror.

The ropes that attach between certain entities that seem to allow control over them. We see the tank passing over head that has strands exiting it to the soldiers behind it, whether they are attached to it or vice versa. Also the planes over head have trails behind them. Though seeing a rainbow in the sky above the hellish landscape is an interesting note. Then the container the baby is in is shielded till the man hooks, what I believe is his strand, to it and we see the baby. (Possibly the strand is a way to give life to inanimate things?) The black ooze comes from the soldiers but we didn't see it on Norman or the man is the new trailer. Maybe it's to show distaste for the military, but that's just my initial thought. Though we do see the black ooze disappear from Mads eyes after he orders his troops and looks at the broken doll (maybe it's real?) Also the same scar on the doll's abdomen is present as was on Norman. Seems like this will be a proper mind--blam!- from Kojima. I look forward to the next trailer and hopefully some kind of gameplay soonish.

2 RepliesNot sure what the point is. This trailer didn't reveal anything about the game more than the unveil did. If this game is really several years away still, which I'm sure it is, just go away until you can show the actual game and not just a bunch of stuff that makes me wonder if I'm having a fever dream.

This game won't even be out until at least 2018, looks interesting, but it's way too early to be getting hyped about it IMO. Didn't we learn anything from the No Man's Sky catastrophe? Granted Kojima isn't Hello Games but still.

This game is happening in an universe when time has collapsed. Why ? You can see soldiers, planes and Tanks (the soldiers are linked to it btw) from WW2. But Mads Mikklesen character is wearing night googles vision and he's using the M4A1 which doesn't fit in the WW2 era. He's also linked to those skeleton soldiers and you can see the compass going crazy when those cords are released and going back to him. -

I have some speculations on this but first : We can see Del Toro wearing the shackles like Norman Reedus and also the umbilical cords with the baby will play a big part in the gameplay ( Remember when Kojima said there will be new ways to die). -
Looks like an interesting SciFi movie. Not sure how this will become a game but I'm interested in finding out.
