Exotic Faction quests
The last time I checked for the exotic class item quests for factions, the RoI faction class items did not work for the quest. You had to keep leveling up and hopefully get the spektar class item from TTK for the quest to work. Is it still like this? Did they fix it yet? Does anyone know?

I wanted to share that i have been using a ROI cloak and have been able to complete the quests just fine, i did have to do the level 350 strikes for the heroic part. Unless there was a patch, i have had no problems....... yet xD

Yep is still broke just got fwc quest and can't do it with bought class armour so among the extremely long list of things broke in destiny you can add this one on too

Head over to the Help section, scroll through the RoI Known Issues thread. If it's still on the list, then it's not fixed. They never fixed the issue in year two, so it'll likely be some time before a fix, if ever. Some players have noticed that the issue may be tied to whether the class item has a Vanguard or Crucible rep node. Vanguard node items, seem to work. While crucible node items, are less likely to work. I used an RoI era bond, with a Vanguard node, that is a style from year one, and it worked perfectly. You can always test your items out in Patrol, since that's an easy spot to get some kills and pop in and out of menus.

2 RepliesHaha i just posted the same question - the recommendation is to just buy something spektar-class from the DO vendor to resolve the problem. Can anyone confirm this? I thought the DO vendor just sells year-3 items now......which is the issue for this quest - armor needs to be year-1/year-2 apparently?

Hasn't been in patch notes yet so I would "assume" that no it hasn't been fixed.
