Make exotic weapon quests more cinematic?
This is just my opinion btw so don't get salty
A lot of people are talking about how they want the lore of destiny to be in the actual game. I think that this could be implemented by having the exotic quest steps for weapons to be actual levels like they were for the gally quest (in an ideal world the maps wouldn't be remakes of crucible maps) maybe some cutscenes, and have all exotics have a quest line. For example, for the bad juju quest, have some cutscenes with Toland and maybe some missions where you play as Toland. This would make the lore a lot less mysterious and more accessible to players who don't read grimore, and also when an exotic drops you actually know what it is. When zhallo supercell dropped for me I had no idea what it was. (I still don actually) I know that posting this is completely pointless because even if bungie sees this and even if they wanted to do it this idea would take way to long to recreate well. I just think that this would be cool

 • What you're thinking of is what they did in WoW with some characters that you can play as them. Personally I say have a cut scene at the beginning and the end of the exotic quest. What Destiny needs is to add more of it's lore into the game itself. This is rather redundant but hopefully Destiny 2 can apply this. This was Activision's fault when it came to the grimoire cards. I believe Bungie wanted to implement more lore into the story but you know Activision. "Make it a Call of Duty and it'll do fine." The launch of the game proved that didn't work and the lawsuit finally freed Bungie from Activision. To implement lore, I say do what they did in the Elder Scrolls and WoW. Have the option to have people like Cayde, Zavala, etc. to be able to talk to them and get some possible back story or points of interests. Second, in Elder Scrolls I liked the books and scrolls that they had. We were able to read them so I say have that option available within the game itself and not solely on the website. In Taken King they had a few places where you can scan on your own with your Ghost. I say do the same thing but expand more on it. Have let's say Eris, give a quest to study the Hive bases. You go to the base and fight obviously, then as you explore, special objects or columns with scriptures light up. You can scan them and add them to you encyclopedia (similar to that of Mass Effect's). You go back to Eris, complete the quest or mission and you get some more lore information. Or better yet, let's say you do an optional part of a quest. You get something more out of it. Like a special cut scene of her and the fire team fighting Crota. These are a few examples I personally will explore more on some possible ideas on a video.
