Typical tone deaf bungie, ignores customer anger at eververse

Bungie, you're apparently desperate for cash via microtransactions, based on the changes made to Festival of the Lost (FotL) 2016. TL;DR Knowing you can get duplicates is a disincentive to buy silver, because odds are you're going to be wasting money. Previous events (Sparrow Racing 2015) ensured you didn't get duplicates via the smart loot system. Odds of getting the ghosts, sparrow, or fire wolf mask have been demonstrated to be approximately 3%. In FotL 2015, players had a chance to obtain all masks via grinding ingame. Duplicate masks could be discarded for a chance at paper scraps and glue, used to "save" desired masks and make them legendary, so they'd not expire at the end of the event. In FotL 2015, players could buy silver to save time, and have a chance of getting the legendary masks. In 2015 Sparrow Racing, paying silver gave the player a sparrow NOT CURRENTLY OWNED. A system was in place (smart loot) to ensure players didn't get duplicates, after paying with silver. In FotL 2016, a max of 3 of the 6 legendary masks can be obtained via the quest line from Tyra Banks. Players cannot get all legendary masks AND the rare wolf mask and the special sparrow via in-game quests alone. They must buy silver to collect all items. However, many players are reporting getting duplicates and having to spend over $40 just to collect all the rare, timed event items. This is totally unacceptable and pushes players away from destiny. It tarnishes bungie's reputation and is a lost revenue opportunity. Especially the fact that you intentionally allow duplicates, instead of ensuring they don't occur, as you did with sparrow racing, is just another slap in the face. Many players have stated they'd happily pay MORE for a guaranteed specific item, instead of having to fight RNG. Seriously, we fight RNG every day. It is beyond terrible customer service to hit silver buyers with another layer of RNG. Lesson learned: Eververse is a scam and not worth it. You're actively pushing away the minority that was willing to pay extra for simple cosmetic items, by buying silver. You're literally destroying your own customer base. Hell, even reddit/r/destinythegame is furious over this, and they're the only forum you actually listen to! Bungie, you're continuously losing players. Why keep inflicting these wounds on yourself?
