Festival of the...

Microtransactions. Doesn't this event seem kind of wrong? I mean, only a month and a bit ago we bought Rise of Iron... Now Festival of the Lost comes around, which in my opinion, should be set in stone as a part of the Rise of Iron DLC which we all paid for... Yet, there are only 3 opportunities (from what I heard because I haven't played in a while) to get a Treasure of the Lost, in which the RNG is absolutely awful. Why is this event designed to make us want to spend more money? After we just spent more money on this game? It just seems wrong. There should be a way to grind Treasures of the Lost in game without spending money. Edit: "Why is this event designed to make us want to spend more money?" What I really mean is: Did I pay for Rise of Iron, which promised improved/larger events, just to be locked out of content in these events due to a pay wall? No I did not, and if I had known I would have been I probably would have reconsidered buying Rise of Iron in the first place. The game is locking you out of content to make you pay money. It is a cheap sales tactic that I would expect to see from phone games. If you are happy with the fact that you have to pay money after acquiring your three loot boxes then... I don't even know.

You paid for RoI and everything that is. You didn't pay for EXTRA events that have never been a part of any particular DLC. Silver is what pays for these events. You don't just get something included for free because you want it.
Why is this event designed to make us want to spend more money?
Because they're a business? Because that's the whole reason why any business remains in business?

      • Guess this is what we can expect from Bungie from now on. Events that were supposed to be paid for by micro transactions, designed to make us pay more micro transactions, this festival is not for the players enjoyment, or to celebrate the holiday, it's so Bungie can make more money, period 💰💰💰💰💰🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑👍🏻

      • I agree considering RoI costs just as much as TTK yet had about 1/4 of the content.
Why is this event designed to make us want to spend more money?
Because 1) It's not serious, it's for fun and 2) isn't that the point of a business? Their job is to sell us things. Also how are any of you surprised by any of this at all? They wouldn't sell us these things if people didn't want and buy them. They're only giving people things that they want. Don't want it? Don't buy it. That's how supply and demand economics works.
