The hottest Topic in trending & highest rated is a friggin' broom Sparrow?
Seriously people? It'll be forgotten about in a couple weeks. Does it even do anything different or special? (They reskinned the slowest sparrow with the least amount of maneuverability, FYI. It's our white launch sparrow reskinned, just like they reskinned the jump ship for the book prize, & the new raid ship..)
I guess the broom is way more important than abusive RNG microtransactions, activities lacking optional matchmaking , a ridiculous excuse for a place to store our items designed by a game that's main focus is getting items, and being returned to orbit mid activity because of a bug that was introduced into destiny from the very last update which Bungie still has yet to recognize.

Someone was comparing the lottery, which you need to be 18+ to play, to a video game rated E (Destiny), where the only way to get specific items , is playing the lottery?
(Edit - I just learned destiny is rated T, now I'm shocked there is no blood or t&a - fml)
I like this, getting kids to start gambling early...
If people want money, they could get a job. They don't need to play the lottery.
If I want a Halloween green Sparrow & a flaming wolf head, I'm forced to play the lottery.
I'd happily buy it for a price. But Bungie knows they can make a killing by creating & reskinning pretty content, and throwing the items into their virtual slot machine. I find this abusive...

Destiny actually does have blood, it's just black/grey and barely noticeable, the liquid on your screen when you're really low health is also supposed to be blood.

It's more similar to baseball cards, or those lego figure packs where you don't know which one you're going to get. Now I'm not saying that randomized micro-transactions are great or that this FOTL isn't worse than last year because the candy bags are basically useless, but I think all the gambling comparisons are a bit off base.

1 ReplyIt's because other than your mention of the bug, the rest of those topics have been discussed ad nauseam on these forums with no real traction on getting anything changed and even some being shot down by Bungie. At least they have a shot at getting Bungie to let them keep their brooms.

1 ReplyYes it's just the same as prioritizing the revamp of the ball in the tower. They got "resounding" feedback from that one lol. Thats fine though I really think Bungie is getting it together and more things will be addressed in a shorter period of time. The broom has only a 2 week period and its a simple topic, either it's in or not. Compared to fixing lag that should be simple. .... the Frame's gotta sweep though.

2 Repliesthe way i see it its a step in the right direction of how some weapons and items should be earned/found by looking around and actually finding them instead of using engrams, the khvostov was step in the right direction also with finding the parts scattered around the plaguelands some exotics ornaments should also be found this way, an event happens or something happens in any social space and you go out and find the thing that is available at the time

There are genuinely good posts in #feedback that get ignored and posts that ask for nerfs and broom get upvoted. I think I'll only bump Sols posts in #feedback and will spend most of my time in #Destiny and #Help.

1) Destiny is a T rated game. 2) Any reasonable parent will not let little Timmy buy 4569 of any kind of consumable from Bungovision.

7 RepliesThere are a LOT more issues plaguing Destiny than just whether the broomstick sparrow stays or not. I think the more important question is when they'll remove the Broomsticks from Luke Smith's and Jon Wisniewski's backsides so they can make this game fun again.

Destiny is T, the broom sparrow was a really funny idea and people loved it, yes, microtransactions may be a problem, it sure is a good thing they don't affect gameplay whatsoever... I can live without them, at least it's not bo3 and relying on rng without microtransactions is really fun and rewarding when you get what you want, it's what keeps people playing
