Handing out bibles isn't oppressive. They're offering you free things. Your own personal views should decide whether you accept or decline, but going out of your way to disrespect or upset them because you're edgy is a dick move. Live and let live, mang.

You know it's not his fault. He was doing what he thought was the right thing to do. You decided to be a dick and you knew it. You didn't have to accept what he was offering, choke point or not.

So yeah. Dick move m8. Those people are just doing what they think is right, but apparently freedom of expression is shoving it down your throat if you arent gay, black, Islamic, or some other minority.

I honestly don't know why many Atheists believe that us trying to lead you or any other person to Christ is a bad thing. If I respectively spark a convo with you about religion and how you feel, I don't see why you have to respond disrespectfully. You might think, "well if he didn't want to be treated like that, then he shouldn't have tried to oppress his belief on me", but many Atheists on this site and the real world don't think about what kind of love us Christians are expressing by proselytizing people. A fairly famous YouTuber/Atheist made a video that was very moving for me and I think it explains it very well(by now you might have already watched the video as I have linked it to this comment). Penn states that he is an atheist and even goes as far to say something that gives me chills when I hear him say it because I know he 100% believes it. He states "I know there is no God..." just to show how much he really believes. He ends up talking about an experience he had with a man at some kind of event. The man was kind as he explained and was Christian. The man went as far as to proselytize Penn by GIVING HIM A BIBLE. While Penn didn't believe in what the man had given him, he extremely respected the effort by the Christian. Penn goes on to tell the viewers that he always stresses the act of proselytizing an atheist while being an atheist because of one reason. He believes that if a Christian believes so much in his/her religion "how much do you have to hate someone not to proselytize someone..." That is something a lot of atheist should start thinking about. All you managed to do was be disrespectful that were never disrespectful to you. Think about that the next time you take the effort to make a gift for a loved one or a friend. What if they just through it away like it was expired food, not worth any of your time and love.
