As a Year One Destiny player, I've had ample time to get my Cryptarch rank up to quite a respectable number. When The Taken King launched and I saw you could get emblems and shaders through Cryptarch reward packages, I was quite happy. New customisation for turning in all those blue engrams from Strikes? Sign me up. Since then, I've seen countless people, both those I started the game with and those I've recently met from TTK, April Update, or Rise of Iron, all of whom have Vallsgarde, as well as many other rewards from the Cryptarch. At first, I was a bit disappointed, but hey, it's Destiny, everything is RNG, right? I may not get Vallsgarde just yet. Now, this is where I have a problem. If it were just Vallsgarde, it could very easily be chalked up to RNG, I'd just been having a run of bad luck getting a certain drop, like the Faction Shaders. But that's not the case. I am currently at Cryptarch rank 337 ( yes, [i] three hundred and thirty seven [/i]) and have yet to see a [i]single one [/i] of the Cryptarch specific rewards. Seeing as how some of the newer players I've made friends with have had them drop from around rank 4 - 5 and upwards, I can't help but feel that this is potentially bugged. I can't see any reason why I shouldn't have had at the very least [i]one [/i] of the rewards, given how high my Cryptarch rank is, and that I've been levelling it constantly for well over a year since Taken King. I'd very much appreciate if someone could make sense of this for me, because it just seems so against the odds of possibility that it shouldn't happen, with everyone else getting them all the time.
