Remember in The Taken King where trials was super fun and you can enjoy playing in a competitive game mode? Well, if you have played trials, you would agree that it is no longer fun. For a few reasons. Firstly, you now spawn with special ammo and a few shots in the reserve. So this gives players who run shotguns the upper hand instead of waiting for special ammo to spawn, they just rush off the bat and it's unbelievably frustrating. And by that time they would have gotten extra special ammo and it makes it even harder to counter those who run shotguns. The fact that Bungie nerfed the heck out of snipers, shotguns are now the new META and it's absolutely disgusting. I've been coming up against teams running god roll Matadors and usually you would counter with snipers as shotties are close range, but given their nerf, it's a total sh*t show. Even this week with the map being Floating Gardens, which has a very nice medium to long range peek spot from each teams spawn, but if the other team are super aggressive and push you back and gun you down with shotguns, how are we expected to counter that?! You nerfed the sh*t out of snipers so you haven't given us many options other than to counter with another shotgun. And I myself dislike using shotguns, if it's a nice ranged map with decent snipe spots, I'm going to snipe. It takes far more skill to use a sniper and counter other enemies effectively than just to run at you and barrel ram you in the face with a Matador. I'm not sure why you nerfed snipers so hard, I understand why they nerfed them from a standpoint of people dome-ing sunbreakers that popped their supers only to be killed instantly by a sniper headshot. I get that. But you could have just increased the damage people in supers can take instead of painting everyone with the same brush and giving everyone the same punishment. I just want it to go back to how it was in year 2. You spawn with no special ammo, and you collect special from the ammo boxes that spawn during the trials rounds throughout the game. This forced people to be more thoughtful with the primary weapon they use and not just switching their primary for a shotgun. Some might say I'm b*tching and I'm salty but I'm sure some of you will agree with me and the stuff I'm saying is true. This needs to be fixed.
