I have always been a huge fan of Bungie PvP. That being said, i only have minor issues with the balance of Destiny in the Crucible, but that's a rant for a different day. For now, I am quite annoyed with the state of how players earn rewards from the crucible.
Let me tell you a short story from my experiences last night: I have been playing my ass off in IB because I really want that sparrow. I finally got the Outbreak Prime and decided to take her for a spin in IB. I got three matches in before I went to bed. In the first of those matches, there was a player that got maybe 3 kills, zero crests, and had the sparrow drop for them. Normally I wouldnt be so bothered by this, as it happens all of the time in Destiny, but it is literally the ONLY one I've seen drop, and someone who clearly didn't deserve it got it. Maybe if they were at least playing, I could understand, but they just stood around and got carried.
I really believe Destiny needs one of two things: 1) Rare vanity rewards should only go to the top performing players on the team. I say vanity rewards because bad players need gear too. 2) Some sort of Crucible currency (think old WoW battlegrounds) where you earn tokens per win or something, and turn them in at a vendor for sweet vanity items or gear exclusive to top tier players. Tell me what you think of the loot in this game. I would really love to see some changes in Destiny 2. I hate the RNG that revolves around us all. I prefer to know I earned something when I get it. What's stopping me from standing around like that player did?
