The main pvp subclass buff threads I see are A) Blade dancer B) Gunslinger and C)Sunsinger
Only 1 of those 3 truley needs a buff and Ill give you a hint its not either of the 2 Hunter subclasses.
Ive seen the suggestions that Arc Blade be given an agility boost. Golden Gun needs more shots and armor. Throwing knife needs to be a one hit kill. Etc
Blade Dancer and Gunslinger subclasses (Along with Nightstalker) have the 3 highest K/Ds in the game
Does it honestly make sense to hand out any sort of buffs to the already strongest classes in the game? Rhetorical question
Please think about whats best for the game and not whats best for the subclass you are using before making anymore outrageous buff suggestions

What's best for the game? Hunters Bladedancer Changes - Arc Blade now does more damage to all enemies, including one-shot melees to all Supers - Blink nerf to recovery undone (both subclasses, BD & VW) - Backstab now ACTUALLY F*CKING WORKS LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO - Slightly reduced Skip Grenade speed - Flux Grenades now do more damage, but do not correct their course and do not do ANY damage if thrown at a target that is in melee range - Increased base Agility across all subclasses - Arc Blade now lasts longer - Arc Blade RT attacks can be activated midair - Arc Blade initial activation pushes away enemies, does not affect melee lunges - Decreased Arc Blade tracking on the ground, but midair tracking is more reliable for killing enemies actually within range of your Blade Nightstalker - Smoke/Void grenade combo now rendered useless against Guardians by preventing movement hindrance when damaged by Void grenade - Getting hit with a Tether no longer f*cks with your aim Gunslinger - Yeah, no, don't change anything Warlocks Stormcaller - Stormtrance damage "ticks" now do 2% less damage to enemy Guardians - Stormtrance now lasts longer Sunsinger - Fusion grenades no longer correct course - Radiance lasts longer - Reduced severity of Fireborn nerf - Fusion grenades charge slower than other grenades in Radiance - Flame Shield rebuffed to previous tankiness, but does not affect melee damage done to the user whatsoever - Increased burn damage to PvE enemies Voidwalker - Life Steal no longer triggers on hit unless critically wounded Titans Striker - Lightning grenades now have a clearly defined damage cone - Storm Fist Overload no longer can one-shot Guardians - Fist of Havoc only has damage resistance (overall) if activated from 3+ ft in the air or sprinting for 2 seconds (prevents some, not all, "oh shit" panic supers) Sunbreaker - Shares Fusion grenade changes with Warlocks - Hammer of Sol lasts longer and has slightly increased blast radius - Thrown Hammers now do damage to the Tiran throwing them if they land too close - Hammers now do more damage the longer that they are in the air (encourages "artillery" role of Hammers) - Initial HoS activation pushes away enemies, does not negate melee damage or melee lunge of enemies - Slightly increased armor in HoS, can still be one-shotted by Arc Blade or taken down by Stormtrance, yet can also just as reliably destroy them at effective "mortar" range Defender - Increased overall damage when inside Ward of Dawn (grants a fighting chance against Supers) - Ward of Dawn now slightly slows enemies going through it - Magnetic grenades no longer track

I think throwing knife should be a OHK if to the head because it's not like you can do that every time I use unlike Titan Melee which can OHK 3 people with one Melee (although that was very situational)
-
Watch Bungie nerf Shinabus vow and leave ophidian aspects. Worlocks been the meta for 2 years now. Stormcallers with quickdraw in Y3 - Its pathetic
-
Two problems here:- 1) don't generalize. I main a hunter and do not advocate buffs. If anything I think Shinobus bow needs a nerf. 2) sunsingers are fine. Fantastic in pve and also very good in pvp, just got to use it right.
-
The only buff BD needs is for flux grenades to actually kill people
-
Mfw titans think that Hunters don't need buffs because their subclasses are borderline useless
-
Hunters are the worst class in crucible at the moment although not by much. This is only really due to how insane and overloaded the Storm caller is right now. Everything the Hunter does in PvP Warlocks do better right now. Titans are in a good spot IMO. If we want to see more Hunter viability the Storm caller tree needs to see changes.
-
Throwing knife should 100% be a one hit kill to the head
-
Only fair after being nerfed endlessly. Watch the shinobus get nerfed too.
-
That awkward moment when the hunters are basically the "rogue" class of destiny and are solely close ranged. A majority of the player base who use hunters get up close and personal in PvP seeing more action than other classes. Therefore getting more kills on average.

Edited by cabinny00: 10/11/2016 9:46:21 PMMost people want those buffs for pve not pvp, where the Nerf's have taken a toll on hunters. While bungie has increased dmg on golden gun, blade dancer has not had any corresponding buff. Blade dancers take the highest risk of any Guardian in pve, storm callers have distance. So yes Blade dancer should get a pve buff, a minion of the darkness should have to go through an over shield to kill a blade dancer. Alternately it should deal enough damage to completely house a non boss major or ultra enemy. High risk high reward.
Again the biggest reason pvp and pve should be separated, this balancing nonsense would not adversely affect both. crucible weapons in pvp only, vanguard in pve only. And separate exotics as well, you can have tlw, chaperone, as well as bungie maybe getting creative for some really nice pvp oriented exotics.
Only 1 I am going to defend is the throwing knife. That sucker deserves to be ohk. Outside of that, Hunters are good.
-
Isn't better to ask for buffs how ever daft for your class, than to shout for nerfs to others.

Gunslinger- Really nothing wrong with it. It's a well designed class. Grenades are fine, throwing knife is amazing, jumps are good. Little less mobility than the other two modes but they extra range on super and melee makes up for it. Sunsinger- The one shot melee in super is unbalanced tbh. Should be changed a bit. Very slow to play (though I never liked Warlock jump). Has excellent grenades, all of them viable. With Viking funeral changes, has become less pvp oriented and more pve (which it was kinda designed with more pve in mind I think). Overall, bland to play because of how slow you are. Don't know what I would buff since it would be un-warlock-y to make it more agile. Bladedancer- After many, many nerfs since release, the grenades suck. Fusion feels awkward to throw, skip is bad without Shinobu's, and arc bolt is RIP. The super is very good, but sometimes the hit detection can be horrific. Maybe up the QOL and usability of it to make it feel better to use. The biggest problem bladedancers have is with their mobility tools. Their evade skill (blink) was nerfed a long time ago. Even though the other jump perks are okay, bladedancers are missing the thing that really set them apart from Gunslingers. Both nodes focus on pvp, multi target insta kills. But the flash, the pizzazz, that came from blink. I'm not saying to directly nerf bladedancers (although small buffs to arc bolt would be welcome) I'm saying improve blink's functionality. The main threat was blink shotgun or blink last word. With Last Word awful in all but the closest of ranges (RIP), maybe keep the draw time on special weapons at the current state, but reduce the draw time penalty out of blink for primaries. Just my thoughts. P.S. A reason Hunters have high KDs might just because they look the best and have style. The best players might play hunters because they know there is no point being the best if you don't have style while you do it.

Heres the reasons why people want Hunter to get buffs. Every super will beat out a hunters super. I have 1 shot Bladedancers with my Matador from very far away. It is the easiest super to shut down. Every attacking super beats out Bladedancers. Titans and Warlocks both have instanukes that shut it down easy so they have no fear of getting supered really. Gunslinger is a ranged super as is Stormcaller and Sunbreaker. However, gunslinger lasts less time than both the warlock and titan and it also only has 3 shots without an exotic while a titan can throw more in their time. Gunslinger requires you actually take an extra second to aim while Stormcaller chains and Titan Hammers track and explode. On start up, Warlocks get an instanuke with Novabomb, they also get one on Stormcaller with landfall. Titans can pop hammers, take a whole load of damage during start up and then get a heal off their giant exploding hammers. Hunters get quite long start ups in which they are very vulnerable especially to blink shotgunning in the current meta as someone can go from being off radar to being close enough to 1 shot someone with in that time if they suspect anything is going on. Thats just a few reasons why people want to see more thought go in to balancing these classes between each other. As ever, Bungie have done a terrible job at balancing.

Hunters are best subclass in the game? 😂😂😂 good one!
-
The only thing I want buffed for hunters is the trip mine damage.
-
Buff throwing knife again and I'll be a happy camper sonce everything else is completely fine. Give or take the backstab activating at front or side stabs.
-
I'll tell ya, titan needs to not be the only one that can get 3 increase sprint speeds .. not sure if they all stack, but I know mida and subclass node which increases sprint speed definitely does. If the boots which increase sprint speed stack with that it's over.. need to update those radiance dance machines. Most of all need to send a sprint speed increase perk the warlocks way. Not talking about surge or pulsewave either, need something to run around the tower quicker lol
-
Titans bitch too. And hunters do need a buff for their supers just a little. Nothing too serious, but something to bring them up to the level of titans and warlocks
-
Edited by Bicepus Maximus: 10/10/2016 5:43:36 PMHunters need a nerf. I think a lot of this is perception. When you are grossly overpowered for an extended period of time, like hunters, anything close to balanced feels like a problem.
-
Bladedancer needs fixed hit detection, and not only hunters are crying. Warlocks are plenty complaining as well.
-
All of the people that say either need buffs are people that can't use hunter correctly and are too paranoid to try out warlock or hunter. The only thing bladedancer would need is for it to actually have all of its hits connect instead of whiffing your knife
-
Dude with Shinobu's Vow hunters never need a buff again....
-
I have not seen any Hunters asking for any of the non-sense you're accusing them of. Literally the state of mind for every hunter I know: Gunslingers: "Meh, we never really needed tripmines anyway..." Blade-dancers: "Well somebody besides the strikers need to keep stormtrance in check... it is nice to finally have an exotic that has nothing to do with our super doe..." Nightstalkers: "Tumble-Wombo. Tumble-Wombo."
