Memory of Felwinter, No Backup Plans and Universal Remote

As soon as I saw Memory of Felwinter I got the idea of running a Defender with No Backup Plans, Universal Remote and Memory of Felwinter. Double barrier, grenades and a shotgun to trigger the barrier. However now I've tried the build I've found some annoying issues, not sure if they are intended to work this way or not but they ruin the build either way. 1. Force Barrier only triggers using a shotgun when you have BOTH charges ready. 2. If you have a force barrier up already and you get a melee kill it triggers another one anyway, basically a waste. It would make more sense for the barrier to trigger only when one is not currently active.

 • I tried this build as well. Despite any other problems, I'm not entirely sure that the shield is even worth it in the crucible. The shield just can't take all the damage! Even with all the proper nodes selected to benefit from it! While I do believe this is the better way to run the defender in the crucible, I still don't think it makes it quite as viable as the other classes. I think one of the problems with the class in crucible in general is that it focuses on its bubble so much! Something which isn't that amazing in PvP. It could use some buffs in that area…. But anyway, that bubble focus, for the most part, hurts it in PvP I think. I could be completely off though as I'm not a hardcore crucible player. I would really like to know other peoples experiences with it. For me, at least for now, this build still doesn't make the class good enough to use over other titan classes in the crucible. I'm also thinking that the "heavy iron" or whatever the perk is called, could be replaced for a different perk that more beneficial to PvP. Seeing as its somewhat outdated sense artifacts have ways of giving orbs. I RARELY see it used and I can't think of a single time I've seen anyone use it in year 2 or 3 so far. And the other two perks surrounding it have to do with the bubble...
