Hi everyone! I was kinda bummed that the gunsmith didn't get anything new with rise of iron, so I wrote up a little update they could do in the future. [b]Story[/b] With the rise of siva in the cosmodrome, vanguard has once more reached out to the weapon foundries for more armor and equipment to better outfit guardians in the field. [b]EDIT:[/b] Instead of having the Gunsmith stock both weapons and armor, a new vendor directly across from Banshee, will stock all armors. Since armors have much more significant bonuses/perks. They will be 5000 glimmer, and wait time will be extended. (Armor ain't cheap yo) [b]SUROS[/b] SUROS weapons foundry has sent new shipments, including a prototype armor set, the SUROS CM12. This armor set sacrifices one perk column (melee kills grant orbs/perks of that nature), in exchange for boosted int/dis/str. This set would have the typical SUROS look, sleek and simple. [b]EDIT: [/b] SUROS CM12 armor set, instead of simply boosting int/dis/str, now gives an extra column of bonuses in that category. You can choose to spec for intellect in one, then discipline in the other. This of course at the cost of one ability perk (melee attack speed). Along with a new armor set, SUROS has also widened their production arsenal to include hand cannons, sniper rifles, shotguns and machine guns. These work like existing SUROS guns, one major perk but increased stat modifiers. [b]Hakke[/b] Hakke has also sent several new shipments to the tower as well. Like SUROS, Hakke has shipped an armor set, remastered from the golden age. The Cestus armor set focuses on defense over everything else. This set grants an inherent armor perk (much like the subclass specific) but for all subclasses. This would accompany the usual perks rollable on armor. Cosmetically this armor would look incredibly thick. Reinforced plates at key areas, with squared edges and angles. Weapons include scout rifles, the low rof autos, machine guns and rocket launchers. Just like other Hakke weapons, they have one inherent perk along with the others. [b]EDIT:[/b] Sidearms! More varied sidearm categories. Full auto as a rollable perk. I've come to understand that there is an existing armor set for Hakke. Perhaps taking the existing titan set and adapting it for hunter and warlock? Also MOAR ARMOR. [b]Omolon[/b] Omolon, just like the other foundries, have also upped their game. A new armor set, the experimental EBAS set. This set intrinsically offers weapon load speeds, and ability mods are more effective, but require choices between different mods. (Throw grenades even further/melee even faster). This set would look similar to hard light, small liquid energy reservoirs arranged around the armor, and tubes connecting to allow flow of energy. Smooth looking, but not as much as SUROS. Omolon weapons also include auto rifles, pulse rifles, more varied fusion rifles, and rocket launchers. All boast excellent base stats over perk options. [b]Nadir[/b] And finally, Nadir! After the instant success of the Nemesis Star in the field, guardians wanted more from Nadir. Nadir's response include a new armor set, the Zenith set. Nadir is all about trade-offs, and this set will provide increased bonus when certain actions are performed. For example, using your melee will increase the speed and decrease cooldown, and using your grenade will increase throw distance and decrease cooldown. This set will be angular yet smooth, think nemesis star but in armor. Weapons wise, nadir specializes in burst fire. Nadir stocks every archetype of pulse rifle, as well as burst fire machine guns. Nadir also makes scout rifles and snipers. The pulse rifles all have full auto as an intrinsic, and perks that require an action to get benefits. (Zen moment/reactive reload, feeding frenzy) pulses can roll reactive reload. [b]EDIT:[/b] Saw an idea for a burst fire Nadir sidearm! I like it but I would like it to be different from the Trespasser. Maybe slow down rof a bit? That's all I've thought of so far. Procrastinating an English paper and it was a nice change of pace.
