Not a troll guys but lets be honest. You'll still buy it.
Sorry I had to get it off my chest. Fire at will.
Edit: thank you for all the replies. Surprisingly there are not many people supporting the 'no reset' camp.
I'd like to see a Mass Effect style carry over. Fresh start with the same character feeling. Good talk guys and gals.

I'm not buy Destiny 2, anyway. This has been quite the bit a bumpy ride. I don't think I could nor want to last in this the next 7 years
-
All I care about is if ghost angle cloak is coming back. If not I'm out.
-
Yes. Take everyone's strange coins and engrams away in destiny 2. No more "getting to max light without leaving the tower".
-
If i do i will just buy a used copy from gamestop a couple weeks later so bungie doesnt get any money from that transaction.
-
If they make us start over we better get all new characters/classes
-
I've actually wanted to start over but at the same time wanted us to carry over our emblems or something to show that we've been there from the beginning(also maybe carry over our character's appearance but also give us the option of a do over on each of them.)
-
I thought they said in the beginning that our characters will be on our journey the entire time. If it's a full reset I won't be happy
-
It was painful going from Guild Wars 1 to Guild Wars 2. I had thousands of hours into GW1 and grew quite attached to my characters, gear, classes, and skills. GW2 COMPLETELY redid everything, including the classes and skills. It felt foreign to me. I bought it and played a little but the magic just wasn't there for me, so I quit and moved on. Think about that. We aren't just talking about a reboot of characters and gear. We could be looking at a reboot of classes and skills as well...

You should make a poll to see who wants what...there's just too much going on in the comments!
-
I just want my characters and Grimoire honestly
-
What's the big deal? Play Destiny One and all the expansions and then play separate game Destiny 2. New game, new story and new grinds. Sounds exciting. Don't all these same people always complain about nothing to do in Destiny and how everything is the same? Sometimes you just can't please everyone. I, for one, and exciting about Destiny 2 and I am still really enjoying ROI!
-
If they let you bring over all your progress then d2 will literally just be an 80 dollar expansion. Do people not realize that?
-
If it fits the story I'm fine with it.
-
Im gonna wait till aftet a few DLC releases and get a bundle. I've played the beta. Bought every DLC and feel like i've been spoon fed content. It's rather irritating, considering how short vanilla Destiny was.
-
I wont. Already bungie has gone back on many promises over the first three years and now completely erasing everything and starting fresh is just the last straw. The fact that this game will no longer be a 10 year overarching story gives me no reason to want to spend anymore money on the game. Im not starting fresh. Im not playing The Legend Of Zelda im playing an mmo
-
I don't understand why people would not want to start the game fresh. It is literally a different game and it will most likely give Bungie a chance to fix the horrible issues with the original Destiny.

Edited by technoguy1754312: 10/1/2016 7:02:55 PMI don't mind it really Destiny was suppose to be good. But it turn out when you hope for a better game it really just half of what it would have been. Hopefully the second be better without the rip off "DLC" they made to many people fork a ton of dough on the first. Literally a house bill but you know what they say if it nice enough your assure to buy it anyway.
-
I'm buying it. Never played a game as fun. It's got issues, but its issues do not prevent its playability.
-
Am I the only one hoping we get a brand new game where we have to start different characters from scratch??!! I'd like them to tie in Destiny with Destiny 2 as far as the story/lore goes, but we need "new" everything, a fresh start. That would be nice.
-
With as much time I put into the first game if iam unable to carry that stuff over iam walking away no point in starting from scratch again it like buying destiny now after its been out this long no point in picking up a old game and trying to catch up....
-
Well..... It all depends on what and were the story goes. All depends if there IS a story. To be honest, with all the expansions, this game has just reached a full game and even then there is so much missing and story that's just been left to nothing and unexplained. If people don't buy it its not going to be because they can't carry their character or items over. It needs a strong story. This isn't Quake Arena.

Destiny is already trash! What makes you think destiny 2 going to be any better. This game is always lagging

I don't know how people get attached to their silent protagonists that are just hollow shells. I'd love to get rid of my warlock who has a mullet. Ugly PoS.

Edited by DaJuan Hoonoks: 10/1/2016 9:11:52 AMIf it deletes my characters I won't buy it. I went from 2007 to 2014 not owning a console. I played Halo for maybe 4 hours once in that time span. That's after gaming since the mid 80's. Then In Jan of 2016 I bought destiny. Taken King was already out and I had a ton of content all at once. It Destiny 2 doesn't delete characters from D1, then I'll prob just wait a year or 2 before I buy it.
