I think bungie should make a prequal to destiny where you play as your character during the collapse. The first half of the game is you going from civilian life to joining the military and going to eat all up till the point where your character eventually dies but have it where whatever you found in your journey through war (I.e. Gear, weapons, trophies etc...) transfer over to your character at the start of destiny. I think it would do good to build up the base of destinys story so it has a stronger grasp on the purpose.
