The excitement for EXOTICS is long gone……

So I got the Young Wolf’s Howl Tuesday. I had wanted it because I thought it looked awesome, but when I finally acquired it my first thought was…..awwww man, it’s an exotic. I’m pretty sure that’s not the intended reaction. Why would I think that? Simple. 1. Exotics serve no real purpose other than to be unique and....exotic. They aren’t better. Getting an exotic is more like getting a neat looking toy that you play with and then throw in your toy box instead of getting something that will really aid you in your fight. 2. The exotic you love now very well could not be the exotic you get after the next weapon balance. 3. The fact that you can only equip one exotic type is fine, except when it becomes more of a nuisance since most exotics are balanced so they don’t make “too big” of a difference in battle. Most exotics basically end up in the vault. 4. The only reason to be excited is because you can infuse them. I give you https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/213518492?sort=0&page=0 Note that his stated excitement is because they drop at high light levels, not because they are awesome weapons. Case in point. I definitely won’t be going for exotics now like I did for exotics in year 1. I think exotics shouldn’t just be unique, they should be better too.
